You telling me the Italian team, with players that all play in pretty damn good clubs, can't defeat this team, cause they are not good enough? Please name me 3 clubs from those club badges, other than Napoli.... Italian C team should be able to win these kind of matches. No excuse... Congrats to Macedonia, they fought well and deserve the point, but an Italian team, that is in a big need of win, should win this, or at least dominate like crazy... I just noticed, these guys started a player that has no club. lol Italy and Spalletti.

I just said they are good enough. Read the whole post, it's right there in the end. Football is not played in paper, but on the pitch. Sometimes worse players win or pull a draw against clearly better players, like in this case.

2 CBs usually playing back 3 in back 4 system feels a bit uncomfortable.

Thank goodness! 21 shots, 5 on target, 64% possession, 90% pass accuracy, no yellows, 1 offsides and 6 corners. Much needed victory.

Embarassed to compare Estonia to Finland atm. 5-0 last game vs Sweden, 5-0 today. We are the whipping boys and looking at Finland? Man they look like eastern Vikings . About to qualify.

They're just enjoying the game 👏

Exactly. These guys are amateurs who go back to their jobs the next day. They just play for fun and they do so by representing their own country. What's not to enjoy? Because they don't win? We have become so obsessed with winning that we have forgotten the real purpose of sports. Pro sports are about winning because that's their job. Bringing results. Same way we are asked to bring results in our jobs. Sports in general are about having fun with people who share your love for a sport. A hobby.

I get all that Drago but come on. Even if it's your hobby and you never win anything it can't be fun. And even it's a hobby or amateursport winning is the most important thing in the end. Why do something if that's not what your striving for? If my team doesn't win any games in a season they don't have any fun even though it's amateurlevel.

I would hate to have a player like you in my team. As a person great as a sportsman you would drive me crazy. :pazzini:

It's the type of sport where somebody has to be in the bottom of the barrel. San Marino is one of those bottom of the barrel teams.

But you can still enjoy playing even if you lose. Most pro football players will never win anything substantial. But getting paid for doing something you love is good enough for a lot of them.

Them having fun might not be the words I choose, but apparently they don't take this sport very seriously.

Is San Marino actually good in any sport?

San Marino is a very small country, it's not like they have an abundance of talent to choose from. Even if they were the most serious players ever, that isn't enough to give them real talent to compete against France and Italy

"Good in any sport" lol

San Marino is only ca. 24 square miles, or 62 square km. Lichtenstein is ca. 62 square miles ( 161 km) for comparision. Forza San Marino!
