I don't care about El Dutch clubs and Roma. How about Inter, Milan and Napoli?

The survey indicates that 72% of football fans in Italy, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom support the creation of a Super League. The study is based on a representative sample of 6,458 football fans aged 15 and over, interviewed in early February 2024. The questions asked refer to the new Super League proposed by A22 after the ruling of the European Court of Justice of December 21, 2023. Among club fans, those of Juventus (96%), Real Madrid (93%), Barcelona (89%), Atlético de Madrid (88%), Manchester City (85%), Benfica ( 84%), Porto (83%), Chelsea (81%) and PSG (81%) are the most convinced supporters of the new Super League. But a very high level of support is also demonstrated by Milan (79%) and Inter (72%) fans. Among the least convinced there are in particular the fans of the English teams, even if for none of the big teams the percentage of those in favor drops below 50%: the lowest percentage is that of the Tottenham fans (55%) followed by those of Liverpool (58%) and then the German Borussia Dortmund fans (61%). Looking at the other big names, 67% of Bayern Munich supporters say they are in favor, while 65% of Manchester United and Arsenal fans are pro-Super League.

I realize this appears to be asking almost exclusively fans of big clubs, but seems fascinating to me that there - in this survey at least - a favorable consensus view from fans of big clubs all across the board about the newest concept behind the ESL. I guess it shouldn't surprise me that fans of non-English big sides would take this view because the economic vacuum that is the Premier League has made life much more difficult on everybody else.

New CL format could be a factor for this. It certainly is for me.

I used to be very strongly against ESL but after the introduction of the new CL format i don't see a big difference between the two. So zero fucks given about who prevails.

The question is about money distribution to the clubs.

That's true and also "Fuck UEFA" is a stance almost any person can rationally adopt for any number of reasons. Obviously the ESL 1.0 model was a complete farce in every manner imaginable (and a reminder that our wonderful owners were perfectly prepared to make us the doormats of that league by taking less guaranteed money than several other clubs, including fucking Tottenham), having actual sporting merit in the form of qualification standards and zero teams being guaranteed participation just because of their name and heritage was a massive step-up towards granting some legitimacy to this project.
