And imagine how funny it is really. Juve won't make it to top 8 in the Super League I'm telling you. They are changing their perennial Scudetti or now Scudetto battles to fighting to be in top 10 or something in this plastic league of cocksuckers.
depends how many italian referees they can get into the selection pool

Further destabilization of the club engaging in such abominable ideas is just what we need right now.

Imagine the pressures the club might see in joining a super league like this.

1. The amount of money involved would be insane. It would fix any questions over our finances the moment the league actually starts.
2. It would boost our reputation in the American and Asian markets, something the club has been pushing for ever since Thohir bought the club and continues to do now under Suning.
3. If all the top clubs around us join this league and we don't we would be the ones to look like chumps. Inter is an elite club and do not be in the "elite league" would be bad on our reputation.

I disagree with the idea of this league and I hope it never comes to fruition, but you have to be able to see the positives from managements perspectives. Especially at a club with financials like Inter and unlike Bayern.

Don't forget Agnelli is the main guy behind this, if you ever needed any further proof on how fucked up this is. It's even funnier now that this news comes about when juventus have a real chance of not making a champions league spot this season.

Also, good on Bayern and Dortmund for declining the proposal. When even Bayern, a team that steamrolls their league every season, rejects this...you know it's not a great idea.

Reluctantly, I give credit to those two as well. It's putting their money where their mouths are. Those two clubs support the continued application of the 50% + 1 rule in German football, something I agree with, but also something that is easy enough for them to support because, you know, it's a natural inhibitor against sudden growth of clubs. The proof of that is Rasenballsport and their extremely loose adherence to the rule, and how quickly they've rocketed up the German ladder, all the way to being (at this moment in time) the #2 or #3 team in the country, in most seasons. More teams like that, and Dortmund would stand to have a real risk towards being a CL team year-in/year-out (at this moment in time, a season like this is more an aberration than something of a recurring trend). The point being, it's easy for those clubs to make the right stand there when the right stand is also (in)directly to their benefit.

Staying out of a Super League probably isn't to the benefit of their long-term financial prospects, but it's the principled stand to take and they're doing it, at least for now. Vielen Dank to those clubs. And it's disgusting to me to see our club being named as being one of those thinking of breaking away. We should be above bullshit like this.

Don't have one.
Perez saying that superleague is the only way we save football as sport.

Apparently three italian clubs will make confirming statements tonight about joining this league.

Ultimately all of these greedy owners will plead how they didn't have choice cus of covid, huge debts etc...

the problem for Inter is that, if Milan and Juve do it, we cant afford to be caught short. There's a reason why nationally all clubs are aligned (except possibly Barca, but they're fan-owned).

If there is a split, even if its only symbolic and never happens, you dont want to be the best of B, you want to be in A, even if you're at the bottom.

I'm not saying we're an unwitting victim, but at the very least, we had no choice but to go along with this. You can individually decide for yourselves based on evidence if we were a leader or a follower.

The FIGC will dock us points as a penalty for committing to this to ensure we don't get the Scudetto this year :proud:

fortunately with Milan and Juve both participating, then the worst caase scenario is Atalanta/Napoli win the leaague instead. Plus, they cnat dock us any points or else their beloved Juve will be out of the CL as well.

Nothing will come out of a stataement of intent. If it goes any further, then perhaps. But talking about it isnt illegal or anything, only at the point of actually committing to it and having the league properly set up is it a problem.

Suree, but any punishment issued to Inter would need to be at lelast mirrored by Juve and Milan.

Hahaha, this kind of move is the one which kills the football as sport. Well, not the local football, but the top football will be disconnected from the local one. Which is the point why this Super League sucks so much.

If clubs that had a bad year still get into this Super League, then what's even the point of having a Super League?

Hate it or love it, CL is fair to the clubs. Be amongst the best in your league and then win amongst the best from other leagues. It works.

exactly. History be fucked (aside from last 5 years for UEFA coefficients). If you're good enough in one year, you deserve to make it. If your club sucks but you have good history, your club still sucks, and doesnt deserve to be there.

Yeah and that's what bugs the big clubs. Or more like those greedy American owners.

Let's not forget that our media outlets probably are all for it, that way they can charge fans more to watch via pay per view or having to buy more on your cable package to watch the matches and charge more for the commercials associated with the league as well . The sponsors too can foresee huge profits as well.

It's especially weird for clubs like Leeds or Parma, who used to be big clubs, and no longer are considered such BUT can still build their way back up top becoming a top 6 club again. We're seeing Leeds do this now.

You cannot cherry-pick success. Arsenal are not a better team than Leeds or even Lazio for example.

benfica and nottingham forest have as many CL wins as Juve. If they have to play for it to get in, so do Juve.

Since 1961, Tottenham have:

*4 FA Cup wins
*3 League Cup wins
*0 English first division championships
*0 European trophies, of any kind

Seven domestic cup trophies in 60 years. None in the last 12 years. Piss the hell right off.
