PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi against the #SuperLeague: “We will continue working with UEFA. PSG have the firm belief that football is a sport for everyone. I have been consistent on this point since the very beginning”.

Oh fuck off you cunt.

What old geezer Perez doesn't understand is that young kids aren't as interested in football as they used to be because the amount of distractions has grown every decade. Watching Real Madrid vs Liverpool multiple times every year isn't going to give the sport the long-term growth he's trying to play off here.

the problem is, with all that money serie a will be dominated by juve, inter and milan only ...

:lol::lol::lol:

Guardiola about the #SuperLeague: “Sport is not a sport when the success is guaranteed, and when the relation between the effort and reward don’t exist. It’s not a sport when it doesn’t matter if you lose. It's not fair if teams fight at the top and cannot qualify”.

SG president Nasser Al Khelaifi against the #SuperLeague: “We will continue working with UEFA. PSG have the firm belief that football is a sport for everyone. I have been consistent on this point since the very beginning”.

Shorten the games too... So many injury problems from playing so many competitions at the same time.

Two 30 minutes halves would be great for the "regular" part of ESL.

If we remain in Serie A and don't get kicked out, seriously what is the problem? The Champions League and Europa League will still exist. Napoli & co. can still qualify and make money. They also added the Conference League or whatever the fuck it's called. There will be plenty of opportunities for clubs to play European football and earn money.

People are living in the past. Perez reiterated what I stated earlier. Football ain't what it was. Things need to change. Change up the format. Shorten the games to 60 minutes. Americanize the fuck out of it. Have some awesome half time shows. Play around the world.

We still have the domestic league for "traditional" play. Just recognize this isn't 1999 anymore.

Other than being a horrible poster with constantly wrong opinions, you're also (apparently) everything that's wrong with 'fans' nowadays. Call me old or old-fashioned or whatever, but don't blame other people for having standards and reasons for supporting a club that doesn't boil down to "they're successful", or at people criticizing the lack of sporting meritocracy that this brings with it.

If you want easily ingestible entertainment, why don't you fuck off to TikTok or Instagram or something else that barely requires the bare minimum of attention span, and let the greatest sport in the world be the greatest sport in the world.

Football fans - real football fans - don't need to change, it's people like you that needs to find something else to do.

For the weekend every team in every league should just get on the pitch do the kick off and just stand there for 90 minutes.

Oh man, you're going to get so many likes with your edgy, populist comments about "real" fans. I'm so happy for you.

But welcome to the 21st century. Things change. Premier League didn't exist 30 years ago. UEFA Cup was a knockout tournament. Things have always changed. They're not going to stop.

Don't have one.

“This situation of the #SuperLeague has to be clarified and why they have taken these decisions. Why is Ajax not involved with all their success?! Explain this...”.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis denies the rumours about the invitation in the #SuperLeague: “JP Morgan, who’s him? I’ve not received any call yesterday night... I was sleeping”.

Hi my name is Pep Guardiola and today i m gonna talk about concepts of effort and reward while I simultaneously spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year on some of the best players in a world while at the same time being part of the team and ownership who tried to fuck over ffp system which was introduced by uefa to try to improve and control exactly those concepts, albeit unsuccessfully.

His post is going to get likes because what he said is correct. If you're in the extreme minority regarding this situation maybe you should go re-evaluate your stance and your beliefs applied to this sport and think about why you don't side with the 99%.

all the english clubs that arent in the big 6 are against this. They wont find it interesting, playing in the same league with them, as top places would mean nothing. Are these super clubs really ok with playing just 18 games without any domestic leagues and cups? I am pretty sure the British clubs wont be in this.

Leeds United - 14 clubs met with the Premier League and The FA today, unanimously and vigorously rejecting proposals for the Super League competition

Marcus Rashford posted a pic saying - ''Footbal is nothing without the fans''.

If Guardiola and Klopp really gave a fuck they would resign. We'll see what the players do.

As we keep to see some worries and concerns of people that conected with EPL and even spain government, i wonder why we not hear shit from italy all about this shit.
Beside that, i know inter need money, but this ESL shit will ruin everything for everyone, its really seems that us the fans not even count as factor at all..
Also the fact that rube snake in the management make me sick, i swear this guy look like the perfect definition to word corruption..
(Sorry for all real snakes)

what does the scudetto even mean then if we are guaranteed in the super league? What does it mean if we finish last in serie a? Nothing.

Also, who the fuck wants to watch Inter being destroyed in the Super league? We can barely beat Cagliari. Is there a person that thinks we have a chance there?

If everyone was invited no one would be complaining.
Sport has always been about money. You know when it isn't about money? The kids playing in the street, the school yard etc. That's when sport is really about the fun of it.

No one buys a sports team to lose money, only an asinine idiot would think each and every owner in the football world doesn't care about making more money. Do I agree with what's happening? No, but these clubs have been poking UEFA about this Super League for at least 20 years now. COVID has just devastated most of them, and without UEFA actually helping it's members has pushed them into doing this.

They needed a dialogue, a serious dialogue on how to fix the sport, whether it's increasing the CL payouts, reducing the amount of teams, salary/transfer caps etc. They needed to find a solution but it seems only one side was willing to meet at the table and has been pushed to this point. It sucks but these multi-million dollar companies can't survive for much longer at the rate they are bleeding money.

The problem is everyone wants more all the time. The players that say it's not about the money are lying through their teeth (if it wasn't why are you signing multi-million dollar deals and not donating all the excess you don't need to survive on?), the owners say its about the fans, it's not. Do you know who loses out each and every time? The people paying the salaries and buying the merch.

At the end of the day, yes we are consumers. Unless you gamble on the games and win constantly, you don't make money off them. They make money off you. I know it sucks because we've been fans for a long time, but when you realize that neither the players nor the clubs give a shit about the fans (if it makes them lose money they care until the money flows back in), you'll stop caring about what they do and stop buying into their holier than thou one liners.
