Milan has loaned Abbiati to Genoa. Genoa will have the option to buy him next year. Milan bought Eleftheropoulos from Messina to replace him.

Trez getting that kind of money is somewhat odd.... actually more like insane. The guy is a tad overrated in my mind buy hey, if Roman wants to dish out that kind of money he can go right ahead. Gobbi must be salivating at that offer.

guys if Juve get rewarded with 35 million dollars. They will pretty much become unstoppable.

Despite what they already ahve now, they will get so much more money and they know what to do with it. Geez. A new RB, Midfielder and Cassano or Gilardino to partner Ibra up front.

God please dont let Chelsea give them that much money!

  • Vieri ‘agrees’ Milan deal
    Monday 4 July, 2005
Christian Vieri is reportedly just days away from signing a contract with Milan following his shock Inter exit.

Whispers in the peninsula this evening insist that the striker has agreed a two-year deal after he became a free agent on Friday.

Vieri, who terminated his Nerazzurri terms by mutual consent, will allegedly sign next week once he passes his medical.

The Italian international is currently on holiday in Sardinia but will reportedly swap one San Siro club for another, despite interest from numerous other clubs across Europe.

Vieri could be joined by Alberto Gilardino in the new campaign, whose proposed transfer from Parma may be closer to completion tomorrow.

"The player will return from his holidays on Tuesday," his agent Beppe Bonetto told the Fiorentina.it website.

"That is when we will get a definite answer from Milan regarding their intentions towards him."

Should a Rossoneri switch collapse, the 23-year-old could still be heading to the city of Milan after Inter confirmed they were keen on him too.

"We’ve been chasing Gilardino for some time," owner Massimo Moratti told the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.

"We admittedly don’t really need to make any big changes to our offensive options but we are talking about a really good player."
It will rank alongside the EuroDerby I defeat and 5 May 2002 for me.

Don't Bobo don't! :hopefull:

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has indicated a desire to leave Anfield following the European champions' decision to reject a bid from Chelsea.

More to follow...

The two parties have been engaged in talks in a bid to end 12 months of uncertainty regarding his future on Merseyside.

Chelsea were keen to sign the midfielder last summer but Gerrard opted to reject the club's overtures to stay with his boyhood heroes.

The Reds' recent success in the UEFA Champions League final against Milan appeared to sway Gerrard into committing his long-term future to Rafa Benitez's side.

But discussions regarding a new deal have broken down in recent days and Gerrard's relationship with Liverpool's top brass is now beyond repair.

Liverpool have confirmed that talks to extend Gerrard's deal, which currently runs until 2007, are now over after the skipper expressed his determination to leave.

"The club has made it crystal clear we want to keep Steven at Anfield," read a club statement.

"Sadly, he has told us this afternoon that he will not accept our offer of an improved and extended contract because he wants to leave Liverpool.

"We very much regret the decision he has taken."

Gerrard's decision to publicly confirm his eagerness to quit Liverpool will now spark a transfer scramble for his services.

Chelsea have already confirmed their initial offer for the 25-year-old, believed to be in the region of £32 million, has been rejected and they are likely to come in with a revised bid.

Real Madrid are also interested but lack the financial muscle to compete with the Premiership champions and that could leave Chelsea as the sole realistic bidders for Gerrard.

The Reds will now be left in the position of trying to negotiate the best price for their midfield powerhouse and it is likely a British transfer record fee will be required to secure Gerrard's signature.

lol, no, please, don't go to Chelsea :fero:

I'd rather he went to a European team outside EPL, lol, why not join the rest of the England NT at Real.. Wouldn't mind him at Inter, but it's hardly gona happen.. & they already turned down £35million from Chelsea

Well it has all gone wrong up north, I really thought Gerrard was gonna stay but I guess not. I heard he had an argument with Benetiz and that is why he is leaving, but I also heard he wanted more money. Maybe he just doesn't believe that Liverpool are good enough. I think he will go to Real rather than Chelsea.

This guy is a GloryHunter and a kid. I lost all respect to him really, why the heck would he turn his back on his hometown club? Didn't they win the CL? Didn't he miss some important games and played horrible but they still managed to go through? His impact can't be forgetten in the final game, but he can't claim that the club is below his expectation.

I wish you bad luck Steven, and wonder what will be your excuse to all those fans who love and support you?

At least Liverpool have Xabi, and with the money they can get better player.

HAMED!!! :fero: dont judge him yet, u dont know the full story.

Im sure it wasnt about 'winning more titles'. Cause im sure the UEFA CL is the biggest and also he loves the club and its fans.

However think to yourself, he got offered 100,000 a week still said no, he said how it was the hardest decision but he had to.

I dont believe it was for trophies. I think something happened behind the scenes. The alleged 'bust up' with Benitez is something that i think has to do with it.

So before u start judging again and saying this and that, dont! know the full story first cause we have no idea whats happening and for all we know Gerrard has a real legitamite reason behind this, and its not to win more trophies cause after the UCL win he said ill sign, but then something occured, keep an eye on it though becuase he HAS to be sold in the next week or he will be cup tied and then his price goes way down.

Whatever the reason we should know eventually...

If we go by 'you don't know all the facts', then we can't argue about 99% of the stuff in soccer.

This situation is very clear. They offered him alot of money, and they improved the team. But instead of fighting with the team to help them gel together and build on the success, he wants to join a ready-made team like Chelsea or Real where he may win more.

And this Bentiez thing is ridiculous. The guy is desparate to see GreedArd stay with the team, he always said so, and the way he was talking after the cup was clearly showing how he wants to keep Gerrard.

What is there more to see?

Well, since you like Chelsea, you won't be objective. So it's useless to argue about him. I bet they have a hand in this, Alex Feguson said about 3 months ago that he knows for sure that Gerrard will sign for Chelsea.

If Chelsea get Trezeguet, we're all screwed, because Juve will have atleast 30 mill to spend, I mean these guys could get Gilardino for $5, imagine what they could do with 30 mill, I reckon they'll invest atleast 10 mill on referees, you know refs in Serie C1, bring them up the ranks, where they'll be loyal, buying refs from the Serie A is too old and could backfire, but by bringing refs up the ranks, its a win-win for both parties.

Great news for Inter as Milan sold Dhorasoo, one of their bettter players who was a gun when he played, thankfully Ancellotti didn't realise this.

Damn right about Dhorasso, he used to play so damn well in the French League, thankfully Anchokotti ignored him like he did to Zola and Henry before

no maybe because i can see the bigger picture unlike you who goes straight to abusing the player. such as name calling and what not.

u have to understand, u cant just guess what is going on with Gerrard, this is different to pretty much every other transfer going on thats why u cant assume anything.

I think theres a bigger reason he is leaving liverpool, its not just money or trophies. I think something happened, who knows what.

I think that Gerrard has tried his best to stay loyal. Certainly he's been paid loads of £, but I still believe there's something we don't know on a personal level in there. Gerrard proved himself as a wonderful captain in the CL, but I doubt he will be that in either Chelsea or Real. That's a bummer, 'cos he should be. Further, I'm so sick of Chelski throwing up millions all the time
