Well see how they spend the De Ligt money. Their backline is terrible without him there. Not sure who they're rumored to get but I'm sure they'll pull some bullshit like Koulibaly for 20 million and Brener for 30 million.

I don't get how Barca sold 10% of their TV rights. Are TV rights sold individually as in each club can sell their own in Spain? I was under the impression that La Liga sells the the Tv right as a package for the whole league and then distribute the money accordingly similar to how Italy is. If someone could explain this I'd grateful.
They sold a percentage (10%) of their domestic TV rights revenue (last season €166M, highest in Spain - so around €16M per season) for 25 years that includes a buyback option ahead of that. This (€267M in capital gains) allowed them to end the financial year with a profit

Another 15% sale is rumored that will allow them the flexibility of signings based on Liga FFP for wages

Memphis to be sold, possibly Dest as well

Kessié & Andreas free
Pablo Torre for €5M
Moleiro, Dembélé, Raphinha, Lewy & Koundé pending

Alonso and/or Azpilicueta to be signed

If FDJ agrees to move to United, efforts will be made for B.Silva

Doom has been greatly exaggerated

Barcelona danced out of the " wearemissingMessi" banter era.

Real will still dominate LaLiga next year, but I recon Barca will even it out in 2024.

they are playing with the devil there, they are pumping loaned money in, selling rights here and there, if they make couple more bad decisions they will be in some deep shit

1. Bartomeu put the club in deep shit with poor financial and sporting decisions. He couldn’t have done a more damaging job even if he was a closet Madridista. It is an inherited mess

2. They are putting money of their own in, as they sold the rights - it’s not a loan but should financial success follow then they can even recouperate those rights

3. Circumstances mean Laporta cannot just cut wages and restructure debt alone without sporting success. A losing club will mean they’d flounder and be more in danger of accepting financial assistance that could put the club at further risk ala CVC deal that many Primera clubs already agreed to

4. Laporta will leverage everything at his disposal to make the transition post Messi as smooth as possible and the targets in mind mean they will have a core squad of blue chip youth with a club legend coach that are motivated for success

5. This can only happen at a democratic club owned by its members else club would’ve been in financial ruin selling it’s soul to the devil under Bartomeu and a continuity candidate. Socis petitioned for his removal and early elections- it couldn’t save Leo at Barça but course correction is well underway

Future is indeed bright and I never doubted Laporta even if I haven’t agreed with all of his decisions (Pimienta)

Barcelona will never be in deep shit. They're too big of a financial juggernaut to ever be in deep shit. Despite the reports for years of the some of the grimmest financial figures in the history of the sport, they're trying to spend upwards of potentially 150 million this summer alone. Compare that with what were going through now and how our club is handling it.

I love football. But the fact is there's a hierarchy in the sport and always will be. Your club is only as good as the revenue it makes. If 99.9% of clubs on the planet were run like Barca they'd have folded by now. But Barca will soon re join Europe's elite. Football is nothing more than a pay to win sport at this point. Or at least pay to compete.

If you follow college football in the US it's taking this route. Paying high school players millions of dollars to play before they play a college snap. Great financially for the sport, but it rips the soul out of the game.

How can they end the financial year with a profit if they still need to pay wages? I've read that they owe Frenkie de Jong alone somewhat like 18M in salary? They even want Man Utd to pay the whole 18M or at least a part of it. I really don't understand how on 1 hand they still have debt and owed salary to pay and on the other hand they can buy Raphinha and Lewandowski.

Deferred salary

Bartomeu signed him to exorbitant wages and they’ve been trying to reduce it ever since - most of players did, Frankie simply deferred it to help with books short term

We’ll see how Alemany et al manage this stalemate since a United transfer would be predicated on a payoff for at least a substantial portion of what was deferred

Alternative is to let him sit, we’ll see how it plays out

Svanberg from Bologna is set to join Wolfsburg for around 9 mln. This guy was linked to us in January, and i bet that if Inter decided to go after him, the price would have been 15-20 mln.
