Italian directors are smarter, they are doing loan deals instead of putting high stakes in not so famous names. Good business, i d say.

Carroll = 40mil

Torres = 58mil

Choppin Onions = Mind fuckin blown!

That shit is ridiculous. They had a list of highest transfers ever on Fox Sawker Report and Andy fucking Carroll was on it. Other names included Hernan Crespo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo. What's wrong with that picture? :palm: I'd pay 40 for Messi.... and that's probably as high as I'd go. I know they got 58 for Torres but that's ridiculous. You can 3 or 4 good players for that kind of money and seeing how shite LFC have been this season, you think that money could've gone elsewhere.

As for the aforementioned Torres... yuck. Chelsea should be in for loads of fun when FFP kicks in.

It is a thing that has to be carefully managed. A whole lot of loans isn't also good.

Anyways don't think I have seen a more active winter mercato than this one. The number of big clubs looking for reinforcements was uncharacteristically high and the kind of money spent was totally mind boggling and I guess stupid in many cases.

Of the top of my head,
Pool spent 60+ on Suarez and Carroll
Chelsea spent 75+ on Torres and Luiz
manC spent 35 odd on Dzeko
Big clubs Inter and Milan signed a whole lot of players who will be crucial for title hopes.
Madrid needed a striker for first team and got him.

By the way couldn't find a decent place to post it but...

You were bitching about Quaresma's wearing style right? Just check out Manuel Fernandes! :D

More interesting news on the EPL January transfers window:

After Carrol's deal finalized that took spending by Prem clubs in January to a record £183m, topping the £170m splashed in 2009.
Toon made a desperate bid to bring back Charles N'Zogbia to St James' but their £12m bid was KO'd by Wigan.

OK, here is something I like to write about in this section:

There was this Iranian superstar named "Ali Karimi". Most of you folks haven't probably heard of him but probably some Arab guys among us. Among various clubs in Qatar & UAE he also used to play for Bayern & had the talent to become a big name. He was also Asia's footballer of the year 2004. His bad ass dribbling skills made him famous in Asia & was nicknamed the Asian Maradona.

Why am I telling all this? Well yesterday the word was out that Schalke, a top German team who also signed Raul signed a contract with him & he was given the number 10 shirt. So as a Persian myself I'm really looking forward to see how he will do with his 32 years of age.

Schalke recruit Ali Karimi

Here is some footage of him during his top days:

Ali Karimi ! This guy is still alive lol Shocking that they bought him even when he isn't even being called up for the NT. Could it be cuz of his experience in the Bundesliga? Could be!

lol Lion after your 1st paragraph, I really though this should be a great introduction to a part in which you tell us again how "great" (or not so) the Bundesliga is right now.:p

And appreciate your coach:

Luca Toni: Van Gaal showed us his ball

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...ss-louis-van-gaal-showed-us-his-balls?cc=5901

"The coach wanted to make clear to us that he can drop any player, it was all the same to him because, as he said, he had the balls," said Toni.
"He demonstrated this literally (by dropping his trousers). I have never experienced anything like it, it was totally crazy. Luckily I didn't see a lot, because I wasn't in the front row."

Buwahahaha, this mf is mad! :p

Wasn't that dude torn a new arsehole when Spurs visited the Meazza? Seems fitting he's linked to Rubentus :p

That's him! This might have impressed Agnelli and Marotta that they're willing to spend this much on him :p
