Can absolutely see us paying close to €20m for Coentrao. Undersell and overpay. There couldn't be a club that does it better.

Maybe it's just me, but Coentrao isn't an exciting prospect to bring to Inter. It seems like Mancini is mostly after old or injury prone players though, so this is a match made in heaven for him.

But...but...but.... we did sell Kovacic and Shaqiri cause of FFB?? To fund those Kondo and Miranda deals right?? Does this mean we need to sell Icardi too to buy Perisic, Coentrao and Melo?

^ no we need to sell Guarin to get Melo and two of: Nagatomo, Dambrosio, Santon or Juan to get Coentrao!

Kovacic and Shaqiri just unlock Perisic deal - Mancini logic!

The sale of Mateo Kovacic, now imminent, it was an opportunity for Inter to speak with Real Madrid's for Fabio Coentrao, the Portuguese left-back who could leave the Merengues and liked by Roberto Mancini. According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are hardly prepared to offer € 15 million requested by Madrid, pointing rather to a loan sale with subsequent redemption, for a figure of around EUR 7 million.

Is Coentrao really injury prone? Can't remember that.

I don't give a shit about Coentrao. His asking price is ridiculous while he's still injured according to transfermarkt, great strategy...

La Gazzetta dello Sport - Rush Perisic. Mancini: "it needs Melo. Profit her personality." Coentrao, Real now opens: yes to the loan, but at a high price.

Everything in a range of 10-12m for Coentrao is acceptable. He is top class full back and those are hard to find. We need him.

Agreed. I rather Inter spend that kind of money on Coentrao than on Criscito or Siquera.

In these days I am already happy when Inter doesn't have money to spend on shitty players.

Coentrao hasn't been a top class fullback in 2 seasons.

People here expecting him to be the player they have seen in highlight reels or on Mourinho's Real teams are going to be severely disappointed if we do indeed sign him.

Definitely. He will be an improvement, if he reaches his top form he can be MASSIVE improvement. But don't expect 'top class' fullback from the start. he will need time. Maybe more than 6 months :yao:

Played a good World Cup if I remember correctly. That was coming off a season where he didn't feature predominantly

he had a very average world cup as did portugal in general. he was hurt around that time also. Like the poster above, he's been average for 2 seasons now. Not really all that much of an improvement over what we have now.

How is he defensively compared to the other 2? I kindly remind you guys that we also have Dodô and we still have to pay the bill!

I know Coentrão can cross but I bet Mancini's pet Kolarov is better at defending. +he reportedly earns 4m/season!

Plus he's injury prone, just like JoJo. High stake risks played by Mancio...
