Is there any way to delete your facebook account? Tired of hackers trying to hack into mine. Last year, my relatives were cheated of thousands of dollars when someone posed as me. I know that sounds stupid, but I hardly use that shit anymore and I don't want anyone else getting scammed because of my fucking facebook account.

You have to write to them, tell them everything that happened, they need some kind of proof to deactivate the account.

Thanks guys. I digged around and found out that there's an option where fb will send an sms to your mobile in order for you to log in at a new device. That might help.

The hackers are all local. From my previous experience, here's what they will do once they manage to successfully hack into your account:
1) Learn about your friends/families (Common friends, their families, etc)
2) facebook chat them, or asking for their BBM PIN (BBM is still the dominant IM in Indo) or WhatsApp or Line or WeChat or whatever
3) Pretend to be me
4) Ask them about their friends/families etc. This is done to reassure the target that it really is me who is messaging them.
5) Tell them I'm in a emergency and cannot make a phone call
6) That I need money very urgently but my bank account is not working bla bla bla and they have to transfer it to the scammer's account
7) Voila

That was what happened to me about 1-2 years ago. From about 20 targets that they chose, 1 of them, my brother-in-law was kind and gullible enough to fall prey to it. It cost him US$4000. He told me that he managed to recoup the money back from the bank/police but I highly doubt it. I think he was just being nice and didn't want me to feel bad about it.

So, be careful guys.

Sorry to hear about that Handoyo, I assure you I didnt even know that you had a FB account, just to be sure it`s not me

On a more serious note (I barely do that nowadays) I think there is a way to track down the hackers by identifying the last IPs they used to register into your account and you could report the authorities about them, and when they get caught and you get the money back you could keep it and tell your brother-in-law that he already got his money through the bank recoup as he claimed and that you owe him nothing, then spend the 4000$ on video games and stuff.

No way you can delete anything, just deactivate. Even the pics you delete are somewhere on FB servers :D

Some guys in Taiwan tried to log in to my Facebook last week but Facebook blocked them from signing in. Had to change my password on FB and everything that I use FB as a log-in for.

That guy from Taiwan was me. I was imposing as a dude from far east, hacking into yo' account & then I wanted to upload various pictures of D & tag all yo' friends.
