Esposito is making all the other young forwards obsolete.

That’s true. Esposito is 17 and Colidio is 19 but Conte always starts Esposito, there’s a reason.

Not all youth players mature at the same age or rate.

Transfer to EPL did not happen

Some experts who apparently watched his every match in the primavera say he is nothing special at all
Unfortunately this may the case and main reason we are trying to sell him. Transfer did not happen, here`s why:

Leeds United refused to meet Inter’s €6m asking price for striker Facundo Colidio, while defender Ryan Nolan rejected a move.

The pair looked all set for Leeds, whose owner Andrea Radrizzani helped advise Suning Group on its takeover of Inter in 2016.

However, FcInterNews reports they were not prepared to spend €6m on Colidio as they ended up bringing in Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah on loan.

As for Nolan, the website writes Marcelo Bielsa’s side had offered the Irishman a three-year contract.

However, he pulled out upon learning they would immediately loan him to Angelo Alessio’s Kilmarnock.
We paid 7m€ for this kid. :yao:
This information is obsolete. It actually seems that we we payed €9.5m for his transfer from Boca U20 in 2017... The investments in youth team does not go into FFP books, so that`s probably why we tried to invest there...

It’s true, but for now it looks like Esposito is more ready and I’m not writing Colidio off.

they do. investment in the youth infrastructure (e.g. training ground, coaches, etc) dont go into FFP books, but buying players is still an FFP-liable transaction.

Thanks for letting me know! So it doesn`t makes sense to overpay on youngsters, there is a still long way to go in their development with risks and surprises on the road.

Inter striker Facundo Colidio is reportedly heading to Belgian club Sint-Truiden on loan for this season.

The 19-year-old Argentine had been on the verge of a Premier League switch, but could not agree personal terms with Leeds United or Newcastle United.

He has also been linked with Lecce and Serie B outfit Frosinone.

According to TyC Sports reporter Cesar Luis Merlo, Colidio is set for a one-season loan in Belgium with Sint-Truiden.

There will be no option to buy, as Inter believe the former Boca Juniors talent can become a sensation.
He should play regularly.

Sint-Truiden is an occasional fun team. They don't play as defensively as Waasland-Beveren where Emmers is playing, so he should have a fun season for them.

Guys got A LOT of developing to do. Probably better he goes to Belgium over England because I’m not sure he would play at Leeds right now. I don’t know anything about this club either but I think the pace of play will probably suit him better. Expected a lot more from this kid when we bought him.

Het Belang van Limburg is reporting the 19-year-old has already passed a medical with Sint-Truiden ahead of a season-long loan, deal should be made official soon.

OFFICIAL: dry loan, no redemption clause.

colidio.jpg

Inter have officially loaned striker Facundo Colidio to Belgian club Sint-Truiden for the 2019-20 campaign.

The 19-year-old hitman has been a key figure in their Primavera youth team and it’s hoped he can gain more first team experience this season.

He had also been linked with Leeds United, Lecce and Frosinone, but today completed the temporary switch to Sint-Truiden.

The Argentina Under-20 international joined Inter in the summer of 2017 for €9.5m from the Boca Juniors youth academy.

Last term, Colidio scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 31 competitive games for the Nerazzurri.

It seems the loan has been extended by 1 year.

I have lost track of this kid which is the highest paid player for us in youth level. Based on the news it seems that after not playing in the 1st part of the season he has started the last 7 games in the league scoring 1 and assisting 6.
Maybe there is still hope....

LOL! Just like our perennial "youth" prospect Longo who has scored 3 goals in 4 games for Venezia this season. There is always hope :eek:blivious:

I wonder how Lorenzo "Baggio" Tassi is doing these days...

Yes, until tomorrow, as the club is looking to loan the 21-year-old out.

Facundo Colidio has attracted interest from a few Serie B sides with Ascoli, Cremonese and Ternana.

Inter’s Facundo Colidio’s Move To Austria Vienna Falls Apart, Italian Media Report

Young Inter-owned striker Facundo Colidio will not spend the season on loan with Austria Vienna as expected, with the move having collapsed.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the 21-year-old’s transfer to the Austrian side on loan did not go through and that Turkish side Rizespor now look to be the likeliest destination for him.

Colidio returned to Inter this summer from a two-year loan spell with Belgian club Sint-Truiden, and the Argentine’s future was unclear with no place for him at the Giuseppe Meazza, and a number of possibilities were considered for loan moves away.

Austria Vienna looked to be the club who had been settled on for a move, but the transfer move fell through and he remains at Inter with the transfer deadline for much of Europe having passed.

The window still hasn’t closed in the Turkish league, and Rizespor have come forward with an interest in Colidio, and they could still complete a loan deal for him.

I checked Austria forum and apparently the player even passed his medical but the move fell through because Austria withdrew from the agreement to cover Colidio full salary.
