Very happy that we finally managed to produce a player worthy of our first squad. He definitely is worth it. Having said that I'm still pretty certain that Perisic offers more in the absolute top games (like vs. Real, Juventus, Milan, etc.), as he is extra motivated in those kind of games. After years of suffer we can maybe conclude that our left flank won't be a problem of ours this season.

So far I’m happy to have Perisic and Dimarco for our left wing back position. Although honestly I expected more from Dimarco, but I’m sure he’ll get there.

Don't like him when defending but in attack he is quite useful + his set pieces are great.

He's a solid backup option but so far i don't consider him good enough to be a starter at Inter. He's great going forward, he has a very sweet left foot and his set pieces are excellent but his defending is quite poor while his finishing is also lacking. He had many shots way off the mark in very good conditions yesterday. He needs to improve a lot.

Perisic is by far the better and more economic player. Much smarter tactically and significantly better in defense - which should be at least 50% of the criteria a WB is judged by. Ironic, considering their natural positions as a forward and left back respectively.

As much as I like Dimarco he's just not going to have the opportunity to show off that sweet left foot against better opponents, and defensively he looks even worse than what I saw at Verona. Simply not being good is one thing, but I dislike how complacent he looks in defense.

I feel like if you have these deficiencies, you should work doubly hard to make up for them with grit and effort. But you can tell Dimarco's head is focused almost entirely on offense. It's kind of like watching Kolarov - every second he has the ball at his feet you can tell from his positioning and posturing he's just itching to take a shot from 30m.

Dimarco's left foot is another thing though. Kid is blessed.

Dimarco is 24yo, our present and future. He can learn and become better. While Perisic can't (8 years older) and is leaving for free in 9 months.

Despite that young age, Dimarco attacking end products are already much better.

I'd rather give the kid a chance to improve his defense and blossom. If you guys all want a "youth project", this is the case to do.

That left foot kick to the ball, oh my. Have we ever seen such a pure touch? Maybe Recoba?

Our corner kicks are insanely better than what we've had in 15 years or something (totally random number just for argument's sake).

He needs to improve his defending for sure if he ever wants to be a bonafide starter for Inter.

Great to see a youth product playing in the first team, I have zero issues Dimarco starting a lot of games this season over Perisic, who as mentioned will leave at the end of the season so there's no need for him to be getting ahead of a guy who may cement the position going forward. Great to have someone who is lethal at set pieces, as mentioned also he needs to massively improve defensively, it is really hard to get a wing back to can defend it seems, also he's 23 ;)

Conte would do an amazing job with him defensively and work rate wise tbh

I know, but if Conte had to develop him I think he'd really round out his attributes

If Conte saw something he liked he would have.
But he never rated Dimarco.

Bastoni on the other hand was on proposals to be sent for transfer deals as a loaner option but then Conte blocked it because he wanted to use him.

We saw how good Dimarco is against Real. He should start games at home against trash teams like Bologna and thats it. For now. Hope he continues to develop and become overall better player that we can use against stronger sides in the future. Finger crossed.

If he gets minutes like Ashley Young and Darmian did last year it won't hurt anyone.
