I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s Inzaghi’s plan more or less. Perisic will probably start the tougher fixtures in Serie A as well.

It’s a nice bonus bringing on Dimarco later in the game for his crossing and set pieces though. He really does have a magic left foot.

He should have never been given the ball anyway.

Where the fuck are Dzeko, Brozovic, or even Skriniar or De Vrij to step up?
Inzaghi has said it in the last press conference. The order is Dimarco>Lautaro>Calha>Alexis (if on).

It was a good save by Musso. This match is totally Musso 1-0 Handa.

Pressure, nothing else. No way they chose the penalty taker randomly, he’s been known to be a great set piece taker. I hope next time he takes it too.

He made our game better without taking anything from Perisic.

He's a great player so nothing to worry about. I think penalties should be taken by Dzeko, Lautaro, Alexis or Correa.

Musso guessed the right way but didn't even come close to touching the ball. Dimarco went for glory. He should have just put it in the corner.

I'm still fine with Dimarco being the penalty taker. He has the skills for it. One miss doesn't change that.

I'm not mad at him for missing the PK. Just wished he wasn't so reckless with smashing it like that. Well, shit happens.

I would start him over Perisic against Shakhtar. I think Inzaghi made a mistake by starting Darmian and Perisic instead of Dumfries and Dimarco. He needed to rotate the WBs after a tough match 3 days ago.

Excellent job when he came on, pity about the penalty but it happens even to some of greats now and then.

Precisely this. mfer went for the highlight-reel, top corner smash. Like you said in the match thread, he's always had a lunatic streak to him.

Oh and apparently in his career to date, Dzeko has scored 11 penalties and missed 10 :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: (one "lol" for every penalty missed)

I wanted so much that he score, but i just felt that he gonna fuck it up, it was too much pressure, some other player has to take it instead of him..

Shooting a high penalty you always take a risk. Come to think of it did Lukaku shoot one high in 2 years? Now is when we see if he has the mentality to play for inter. Hope he takes the next one and burries it.

Dzeko's penalty record isn't exactly good with 11 made and 10 missed penalties.

Only high one from Lukaku was the Coppa derby I believe. He took that one differently than others - could have been the adrenaline after the Ibra thing.

I have no problems Dimarco taking pens, even the high ones.

Why he's the 1st priority taker? Because he's probably the best penalty taker of this team. That includes those high shots. This time it was 10cm too high, next time he probably won't miss. He will keep training those even more now and be sure he will score the next one.

We know he came on for Bastoni not Perisic?

Like I said in match thread, hopefully he matures from this penalty miss, no hard feelings from the miss although it does hurt, yes Lukaku we can assume would have disposed of this penalty but would we have 20 chances to score this game if he was up top, I think not.

Dimarco is becoming a favourite and I look forward to him hopefully cementing this position, LWB not LCB. I've always wanted this guy to stay at our club, his first team experience from loans clearly have worked and I am chuffed.
