why is he considered a LCB rather than a LWB by Inzaghi?
Doesn't have the stamina nor athleticism required for lwb. His best position is probably lb but with the formation we play lcb suits him well.

It was mostly De Vrij's fault. I can't blame Dimarco for not taking a header from freaking Arnautovic. It was an impossible task.
Definitely mostly on de vrij. He sees the entire attack, sees only Arnautovic in the box and tells our short cb to try and deal with it. De Vrij needed to deal with it.

I think the same reason inzaghi prefer him as lcb over lwb is similar to that of Ivan juric during dimarco stint at Hellas. If I could remember clearly, he played mostly as lcb there too, as darko lazovic was preferred as lwb. I don't think is down to athleticism or physique (darmian doesn't have that and still plays as wb). I think it's more of an attacking aggression issue, dimarco doesn't usually attack space or burst forward or being at back post/end of crosses. Attributes which are required for a wb.

he probably has the leg like Perisic if not nicer but his football awerness is not consistant like Perisic, all around Pero is much better player, but that left foot of Dimarco is nice

One of the best on the pitch today and in two different positions, extremely valuable player to have.
Yup. Most of his crosses created havoc in the opposing teams box.

I will say it again, he has the technical quality to play in midfield. His left foot is absolutely lethal. I love having him on the field but as a LCB vs any quality striker won’t end well. If Mikhitaryan falters I’d prefer a Dimarco experiment over Gagliardini.

Not a starter for a top team. He offers nothing in defense and little to nothing on offense.

I don’t think he’s a starter for any team. He not only is awful at defending, he’s disinterested in doing it. Felipe has burned him multiple times already. He is useful as an impact sub when you need a goal and that’s it.

Decent offensively, but not worth much on defensive side another trait Inter will miss in Perisic's absence.

Starting player at level of Bologna, Verona, and Torino.

Not even thinking starting him at Inter.

Perisic is five Times better than him, and we release him for Dimarco and Gosens.

We deserve fourth place if we really use Dimarco as starter.

At least Biraghi and Ashley Young can defense.

He is a situational player. His delivery is definitely useful, look at how his crosses and corners caused mayhem against Lazio. The problem is he offers little at anything else especially at defence. He still has his place in our squad, but not as starter against difficult team like Inzaghi did against Lazio :palm:

The back word in wingback position mean you must have defense ability.

If you only can attack, better become forward or midfielder.

This guy better become left midfielder or left Winger.

It’s not like people hates Di Marco, he’s just not good enough to be a starter, everybody sees it, it doesn’t matter he’s from the academy or not. He’s given chance and we all know what’s he is capable of and what not. Giving youth players chances doesn’t mean you have to play them even when you realize they are not good enough.

It’s not Di Marco’s fault that Inter and Suning is broke and had to let an important player like Perisic go. He’s just a victim. If Inter was a serious club, he could be useful as an impact sub. But since Inter is a joke of a club now, he has to start as LWB. Last season Inzaghi never trusted Di Marco to play lwb but we don’t have options left when Gosen is shit. When they replace Perisic with Di Marco, you know how pathetic the club is. They brought Lukaku back hoping that he could take the whole team on his shoulders but it doesn’t work that way and Lukaku is just not that good.
