From the English edition of Marca:

Brazilian side Palmeiras have announced that Felipe Melo, one of the club's big signings for the season, will leave the club after a bust-up with head coach Cuca last week.

The 34-year-old - who played for Real Mallorca, Racing Santander and Almeria in Spain - was not called up to Palmeiras' league game against Avai at the weekend, with Cuca claiming that he was too big a player to put on the bench.

"We will continue in a different direction," said Alexandre Mattos, the club's sporting director, who also expects to receive transfer offers for Melo.

In the last hours, Felipe Melo has heavily criticised Cuca on Brazilian radio, while also admitting that he had drunk some champagne for his wife's birthday before doing so.

"He's a coward, a liar and has bad character," said Melo.

Who wins Saturday night between Inter and Juventus?
"I have to thank Juventus very much and I can not say it's not in my heart because I have a story there, but I'm an Interista as a child, since Simeon and Veron are my idols, and I hope the Nerazzurri win. I remember that when I was in Milan we played two games against Juventus and we won both, a 3-0 and the other 2-1. If the team enters a concentrated field, it can win. A result? I say 1-0, with goals from Icardi ".

We have a saying: You will only hear the truth from a child or a crazy person.

Seems fitting :)

He also went on to say "give me the bench... Maybe I'll win something.... Just give me Messi and LUKAKU"

'LUKAKU'...

He said 'LUKAKU' !

Yep, imagine how much better Messi would become if Lukaku played with him.

Oh my, go back to bed Melo.

Lukaku is a beast when backed with great players and consistently scores a bunch. He gets hated so much for his bad first touch, but people are making out like his first touch is bad everytime. Just hoping Lukaku doesn't go to Juve, because he would outscore everybody in the league with the service they have (just like he does in the belgian nt)

MHHH so he had more quality behind him in Everton than he has now at MU? It s kind of hard to make that argument no? He was way better in Everton than he is at MU now and i m pretty sure the quality of service in that everton team was worse then the quality he has around him now at MU.

That being said i like lukaku a lot, but he s on to high wages atm would probably cost 90mio plus and imho thats way too much for him maybe if he would have kept his everton form it would be justified but he simply has not.

Also i would not mind jube buying another almost 100 mio player that wont help them win CL eventually they ll have to come down if they keep on making transfers like this without winning CL.

Maybe if he just lost 4-5 kilos he would start scoring more consistently again.

Yeah, slim him down a bit and he's back there again scoring. It's not like his scoring record is bad at United, he doesn't even play that much anymore.

Not that I'm advocating that Inter should buy him, but of all the players rumoured to Inter - Sanchez, Džeko, Cavani - Lukaku is the one that I wouldn't mind if we made a deal that benefitted us. The other three players I am strongly against, at least in Lukakus place his best years are still to come.

And again, if he goes somewhere, just hope he doesn't go to Juve.

“I Wanted To Play For Mourinho’s Inter”

FBL-ITA-SERIEA-INTER-JUVENUS-1152x768.jpg

In a long interview with Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport via social media platform Instagram, former Inter player Felipe Melo has opened up on what went wrong during Frank de Boer’s spell in charge of the club. “He didn’t even speak Italian. He came and it wasn’t clear what he wanted,” the Brazilian explained in the interview which took place late last night. “I tried to respect him, learn something from him and his staff but it was his choice not to take me to the games, I was a little down about this, I trained a lot. He then left and Pioli came in and I started playing immediately.

Melo then went on to reflect about the one season he spent under Roberto Mancini at Inter and if he has any regrets about the season. “In that season we did not have the type of team capable of winning the title and after a few months we started to drop off. Despite this, I am proud of what I did. In Italy I had many good experiences. “Mancini is a great friend and he is one of the greatest managers I have ever met. We won together at Galatasaray and he then took me to Inter which was a team I dream of playing for as a child.”

Melo then went on to reveal that he did not want to leave Fiorentina to join Juventus and instead wanted to join Jose Mourinho’s all conquering Nerazzurri side instead. “I went to Juventus because they are one of the strongest teams in the world and you cannot say no but I wanted to go to Mourinho’s Inter but only Juventus paid my release clause whilst Inter offered €23 million. I am disappointed I never played under Mourinho. He had spoken about me many times and at one point he said I was one of the best in the world.”

Next Melo discussed what he makes of Inter and Serie A as a whole. “Conte is a great manager, he showed it at Juventus too. He has revolutionised everything at Juventus and is now doing the same thing at Inter. Juventus will fight until the end, they are a very strong team. Now they also have Cristiano Ronaldo. Inter should’ve done better against Juventus, especially at home, at San Siro.”

The 36-year-old, who is now at Palmeiras in his native Brazil, spent 18 months with Inter between the middle of 2015 and start of 2017. He made a total of 38 appearances across all competitions for the club during that time, in which he scored one goal and provided a single assist too.

In a long interview with Clarìn, Felipe Melo recounts his difficult childhood in what he calls "Rio's worst favela". The former Inter reveals that he has lost "95% of his friends".

“ I was born and raised in the worst favela in Rio de Janeiro. My mother was always at home with us and my father worked all day. Since I was a child I dreamed of playing football and, if it hadn't arrived, I don't know what would have been of my life... It was football or soccer. Sometimes I trained and on the way back I discovered that one of my friends had been killed. 95 percent of my friends in the favela are gone, they are dead. They have chosen another path and are gone. The 5 percent left managed to leave, managed to work and build a life“, Says the player.

“ I saw incredible things in the favela I don't even talk about. I had the possibilities but I never wanted to take drugs or have weapons. I preferred the opposite. I remember the drug traffickers in the favela told me "you have a future, I don't want to see you here anymore, if I see you here again I'll shoot you in the head". I preferred to work and not earn easy money.“

Apparently Chiellini is about to release autobiography and there he says harsh words on Melo and Balloteli. Both of the players reacted to his comments:

"“Felipe Melo? the worst of the worst. I can’t stand the disrespectful, the ones who want to be always the opposite of the other. With him she was always the fight. I also told that to the leaders: it is a rotten apple”. So Giorgio Chiellini, defender of Juventus, that in the course of an interview granted to the Republic he has anticipated some extracts of his autobiography, I, George, that will be released next Tuesday.

“I’d like to know what incidents he was referring to,” Melo replied to La Gazzetta dello Sport.“When I was in Turin, I never lacked respect for anyone: teammates, directors or Juventus in general. At this point, though, I have no respect for him. And I never will have.

“He says Balotelli should be slapped and I am the worst of the worst who always risked sparking a brawl? Well, he was always a coward who’d wet himself…

“Besides, it’s too easy to be nasty about someone in a book. Perhaps ‘this defender’ is still angry with me, because when I went to Galatasaray, we gave his Juve some ‘slaps’ and knocked them out of the Champions League. Or that Inter won everything and I am an Interista.

“This is what Chiellini is like, he always acts as if he’s the greatest… I am also reminded that we beat Italy 3-0 in the 2009 Confederations Cup, won eventually by Brazil. Perhaps he’s still bitter about that too, seeing as he’s won nothing at international level with Italy.”.”

Balotelli reacts to Chiellini's words on his Instagram:

'At least I'm brave to say things in someone's face. Since 2013, you had plenty of chances to do so. To behave like a man, but you didn't. Who knows what else you will say about teammates in the future, you weird captain.'

Lmao Chiellini can get fucked.
