Christ you know it's bad when I'm actively rooting for Felipe Melo to dunk on you.

Here you go sir :D

Melo: 'I headbutted Chiellini'

Felipe Melo has again hit out at Giorgio Chiellini after the autobiography controversy. ‘He just has a problem with me because I headbutted him.’

Chiellini apologised to Mario Balotelli for the criticism in his book, but the row with ex-Juventus and Inter midfielder Melo rages on.

He just has a problem with me because I headbutted him when we were playing against Siena,” Melo told Sebastien Frey in an Instagram Live chat.

“I haven’t spoken to him since and he wrote this book. I said what I needed to say. A thousand things happened at Juve and I could write a thousand books about it, far more important stuff than this.

Chiellini never apologised to me, but that’s fine, as long as he takes responsibility for what he said. He just stirred up this controversy to sell his book.

He should’ve followed the example set by the great Javier Zanetti, vice-president of Inter, who never even spoke about Juve in his book. Besides which, this is really not the time to be publishing a book, when people are dying.”

The proceeds from Chiellini’s autobiography are going to charity during the coronavirus pandemic. Felipe Melo also discussed his move to Inter from Galatasaray in 2015, where he remained until January 2017.

Inter had been my dream since childhood. I made history at Galatasaray and it was really too comfortable for me to remain there, because I was an idol for those fans. I’d just signed a new three-year contract, but went to Inter and took a 50 per cent pay cut, a decision made with the heart.

“Jose Mourinho and others had already tried to get me to Inter when I was at Fiorentina, but unfortunately I went to Juve. I never spoke badly about Juve, but walking out at San Siro in the Milan derby wearing the Inter jersey was the ultimate thrill for me. We won 1-0.

He then spoke on former Inter player Marco Materazzi, who, like him, was seen as a bit of a villain on the playing field during his playing days despite being the complete opposite off of it.
“He is an idol, I played against him many times but I didn’t play with him at Inter. He is one thing on the field but he is a friend to everyone off it. If he hadn’t been aggressive, maybe he wouldn’t have won the World Cup.”

> Melo turns out to be a bigger Interista than most of us thought

He became an Interista just to troll this Chiellini dickrider. Atleast Melo doesn't hide his dirty character like Chiellini. Last person to judge anyone in Serie A  I've never understood how people can support this dirty fuckers like Chiellini, Materazzi, Totti, Pepe, Busquets. Makes me feel ill.

Always and forever #4EVERZanetti.

He doesn`t hide his dirty character at all :D In fact, he confessed to punching current Brescia coach Diego Lopez

The former Fiorentina, Juventus and Inter midfielder was offended when Chiellini called him “a bad apple who always creates the risk of a brawl,” but in his attempts to deny that, Melo seems to be confirming it.

As part of the same lengthy conversation, the Brazilian also spilled the beans on another ugly altercation during his Serie A days. “I remember the game against Cagliari, Diego Lopez had smashed Alberto Gilardino’s face during a challenge and was insulting me and my daughter, who had just been born,” said the then-Fiorentina player.

“He told me, ‘I’ll see you outside.’ Well, we won the match at the last minute and ended up face to face with him in the tunnel… I didn’t even give him the time to speak before I punched him.”

As you might now, I have a boner for derbies. Was just watching Fla x Flu in the Carioca.

Felipe Melo, aged 39, entered the game to hold Fluminense's 2-1 lead. He started a fight and got sent off two minutes after that

They still won though and I'm super happy for them. Never liked Vitor Pereira anyway.

The game was super exciting, it had everything -- fights, diving, shithousing, drama, VAR, great fans...
