I still think we do. We have 6 midfielders right now. Starters should be Barella, Brozovic, and Sensi. I see more use for Gagliardini because he offers more defensively compared to Vecino, so I can see him being essential in certain games as Sensi/Brozovic would be too lightweight. Our 6th midfielder is Borja, who is barely a footballer these days. Unless the youngster we got from the French league is good - apparently he's talented but most likely not ready to play too many games yet.

According to Nicolo Schira of the Gazzetta dello Sport, “there is an ongoing meeting between Wanda Nara and Inter in Milan center: on the table are offers from PSG and Valencia. Inter prefer the French option because Leonardo is open to do a loan deal with option to buy while the Spanish club only wants a dry loan operation.”

If Conte can make Cavendish Candreva look good, then give Barella and GAGS some hope.

I have very high hope from Barella. We will need at least 5 quality midfielders for those 3 positions (+Gag/?). Thus, we lack one quality midfielder. If we were to play with only 2 midfielders, then it wouldn't had been an issue but we play with 3 and as the season progresses, we will miss that one signing for sure.

Other than a LCM/RCM, Icardi out, we are more than done with this mercato.

I know most people here have given up on Vecino, but it’s likely the case Conte hasn’t.

So realistically, he’s included in the 5 midfielders.

Especially when he said post game:

“I expect a lot from Vecino, Gagliardini has a lot of potential, he just has to return to the form that made us buy him. Barella is struggling more than Sensi, he can play on the left or the right of centre midfield but he isn’t a playmaker. He has the potential of being a player that leaves his mark on the match.”

At this point, apart from a midfielder and a backup striker like Llorente, we are all good.

Obviously we won't be signing two players. I feel the first one is more important.

Conte made Candreva look great at home against Lecce. Yesterday Candreva was fucking abysmal.

And we need one extra midfielder but looks like it's not going to happen since Valero isn't moving on. So it's god knows how many years in a row we've left our midfield undercovered. Remember last season? We got Keita at the end when we should have gotten a new midfielder. And actually we would need vice-Lukaku too.

So we lack a proper midfielder and a big rotation striker.
