PSG generated a good plusvalenza this summer, so I don't exclude the obligatory buy if they got a free loan. Which would be the best case for us, as we could start an assault for a midfielder.

too bad we didn't have the foresight to try to do a deal and get cavani in exchange earlier in the summer...

Assuming it’s an obligation to buy at 70 million for Icardi I expect us to go huge next season in the market as really we didn’t really spend much this season when you take the net spend into consideration

What’s the alternative? Pay him ten million, just so he can keep polluting the locker room?
Yeah, that apparently is not retarded ;)

He didn't want to move to pretty much any destination earlier in the summer.

Why would PSG risk getting a nutjob with an obligation buy... Option makes total sense, they are not retarded, if it works out great for them they buy him in the next fiscal year or they send him back here, and if we don't get nothing for the loan...ammm that's retarded beyond belief

If you guys just settle for getting rid of him for a season... Imagine him returning next season... Same problem all over again

In light of Cavani's recent injury and his age and Lukaku's humble attitude and Conte's happiness at his demands being met i am kinda glad we didnt have that foresight.

I am liking what i've seen so far from the Lukaku-Conte BroMance :D

It's not about being content for getting rid of him. It's more of a question of leverage. We don't have any.
There are enough positives about this deal, even without loan fee.
> He gets playing time in which he can showcase himself for potential future employers
> We don't have to pay his wages
> We aren't stuck with him for the whole year
> He's not going to Juventus

Even without a loan fee, I would still consider this a good deal looking at the whole picture.

As far as I know, Icardi wasn't polluting the locker room at all. This was always about the management wanting to push him out. No indication of any pollution. This fake news / misinformation / narrative-out-of-the-ass is so irritating that I'm saying this even if it makes this yet another Icardi thread.

It's just FIF trying to feel themselves better by explaining to themselves why free loan of Icardi is a brilliant business by a brilliant businessman Marotta. :troll:

Even if he's not polluting the locker room, it's still... akward to have the previous captain in the stands for months. The relationship is damaged beyond repair, that much is clear. Who is right or wrong doesn't even matter much. It's best for all parties to part ways.

Or stop being children and let him back into the club

One of the richest teams in the world gets our best/most expensive player on free loan!!!

They need to pay for the loan and his wages. What if they just decide to not play him further shitting on his transfer value

Prefer 45-50 to Juve then 0 from PSG

We have spent €155m this summer, and sold players for €51m. Thats a big net spend. And its not counting the huge spend on Conte & his staff's wages.

Also I think it was a bit naive of Inter to not charge a loan fee, I guess we were desperate to offload him. Ideally, it should have been at least €10m loan fee plus the remaining €60m option. If its an obligatory buy or a gentlemen agreement, thats ok then.

Meh, we're rich again.

And send out what message exactly?

That if you create a toxic team environment when you’re entrusted to lead the team, you can earn your spot back by having your psycho agent talk shit about the players, sue the club and force your way to Juve?

Fuck that. Imagine what that would do to the team morale? Do you think appeasing Wanda would make her play nice?

Be serious, of course it's not an obligation. But regardless, he should be able to rehabilitate his value a bit. The bar is set pretty fucking low

- score a few goals
- don't fuck any teammates' wives
- don't fake any injuries
- don't sue the club

So I guess there will be no transfers incoming considering the lack of rumors? I'm okay with the team, but a Vidal-level midfielder would elevate us even further.

Speaking about midfielders, according to multiple sources Barcelona and Celta reached an agreement and Rafinha will return to Vigo (renewal with the Blaugrana + dry loan without option to buy + Barça possibly paying part of his wages).

I don't want to sound like a Rafinha's football widow and we all know his "medical record", but still, nostalgia is real.

I tell myself that Barcelona wouldn't loan him again to us after we botched the gentleman's agreement the last time. And we are sure as hell not paying premium for him. In fact, I wouldn't be surpised if this was also a monkey wrench in the Vidal negotiations if those are even real, just out of Spanish spite.

Shame. And also a slight surprise because he was pretty good for Barcelona in the preseason from what I've read online, I expected them to keep him around.
