We managed to offload bunch a players and it cannot be Marottas fault that no one wants to pay big bucks for Dalbert, Mario, Ivan or Radja. Not even for Icardi. All of them are very limited and we can only hope that they will be successful in new clubs.

He was pretty open in his interviews about him not standing in the players way, that was kinda the first time he opened he conversation about him potentially leaving, he always said it was 100-150 and that he was better than Pogba, never said that shit this summer.

No player is worth the money that is being spent nowadays. All of them are 20-50M overpriced but you take the player because he is a great midfielder and better than any current midfielder u have, have u not seen the last 10 years the midfielders that have been in the team?

Yea, cos this summer he wanted to cash in on SMS. Problem is that by not everyone realised he isn't worth 70m. If SMS really wants to move to a big club, he has to play out of his skin to merit such a value, or convince Lotito over the season to let him go for 40-45m at the end of the season if he helps them with another Coppa or a CL spot.

It's debatable on who is worth the value or not.

Lukaku is worth that much since the anchor price is set by what Manu paid for him 2 seasons back, and the fact that he has been demanded by Conte as a perfect match for his tactics.
De Ligt is worth that much since he has proven his maturity beyond years by captaining to EL finals, or CL semis, knocking out Madrid and Juve and scoring in the process.

SMS doesn't have that yet. Moreover he doesn't bring something altogether new in terms of skills. He is similar to Vecino in style, much better of course. Should he be 3x the value though?
