Bad - Salcedo, Radu, Arna, Correa are still here. Dumfries is still here......

You can’t get rid of players no one wants, also 3 of those have contracts running out in 10 months not exactly making it any easier
Darmian is our starting RB. Our starting Central CB are still De vrij and Acerbi.... that is really really bad.
I doubt it, he is more starting because of the contract controversy with Dumfries, eventually Dumfries will be the starting just as he has since Hakimi left.

Youth project = not existent. Instead of using youth players in preseason we gave all those minutes to garbage players we prayed would get offers elsewhere. They did not and only remotely decent one was sent on loan to buy a giant random player from Argentina for 10m. We sold off most the U20 Italian team that was sub champion of the U20 WC for 2-3 million euro each. Yet a random ass kid no ones heard of from a random ass team in Argentina we pay 10m for.

Inter and youth never went hand in hand.

It’s seem rather self contradictory to first complaint about some leaving and then in extension of it also complaining about one arriving.

Most of those players are equipped with BB clause. while I prefer at least one of those staying, both you and I know Inzaghi will never play a sub 23 year old given the chance.

we bought a garbage 2nd string goalie for our whole transfer budget.....

Yes it’s pretty bad… I don’t think anyone are exactly celebrating it

somehow spent 58m on nothing

Juve got a better coach and a full starting 11 while we got 2 guys on free transfer that are actually January deals.

We didn’t need a revolution as our team where miles ahead of everyone else before the window. It was mainly meant to strengthen the bench as the starting 11 was already strong enough and still is. We also do not have resources to actually but any decent player who realistically could ever take a place from our current crop.

Zielinski is a noticeable step up over what we had last season, Taremi is unlikely to be less than a sideways step
Positives we didn't sell any starter we actually need to keep.
Which is a huge plus

I was mad when I read Skriniar loan to Roma tho that idiot rejected Saudi league because its not good enough and Roma because of wages. Was like if Roma could get him on loan why didnt we. Then His two refusals for loan made me remember why we all hate that idiot.

So window for me went from a 1/10 to a 2/10

The window is a solid 7/10 and probably an 8/10 if we take into account we had nearly none to spend.

in fairness, klassen + sensi clocked <1k minutes between both of them last year, and instead of klaassen + sensi, this year we have zielienski. I think its fine - I get your point, though, but i think in reality we're more than comfortable

Last year was an unusual one with how little the first-choice midfield trio was affected by injury though. Barella (1st), Miki (2nd) and Hakan (5th) were all in the top five for minutes played. There was just a single League game in which Barella did not feature, two for Miki and six for Hakan. As Inzaghi did not seem to want to rest these players even after the title was won, this meant not a great deal of minutes were available for Klaessen and Sensi.

I just don't believe they can be so fortunate again this season and I think that Inzaghi will be forced to use his squad more, a squad which, in midfield, looks thin on numbers.

While we were well ahead of the rest, I think there should be an acknowledgement that in part this came about because the other clubs were shambolic. Juventus, Milan and Napoli SHOULD have been an awful lot better than they were had they had settled / competent coaching and coherent off-field management. This is why Bologna and Atalanta prospered last season, an outcome which was in part because of the relative weakness of rivals as well as their own undoubted progress.

I am not at all convinced with the new Milan or Napoli, but Juventus look a real proposition with a decisive DS, a clear-headed manager in Motta and a very good mercato.

Roma clinched the deal with Borussia Monchengladbach for midfielder Manu Kone at €20-25m and he will arrive this afternoon for a medical.
Does that take Roma to 100 million Euro spent for the market?

You should be negotiating a sale of Correa.

Haha. Hard to convince anyone of a forward who has scored 0 goals in more than year.

Nothing fortunate about this. None of those 3 are injury prone and has very rarely played less then they did last season.

This Mercato is a 4/10. If Zhang was still running the show we would have had to sell someone like Thuram. We hung on to all our key players and managed to add two regular contributors. That's a win.

I really don't care about Correa staying. I assumed we were going to have to handshake him anyway. I also never believed Arnautovic was leaving, so not holding that against anyone (it was a massive mistake last season, which many of us pointed out then). With that being said, we only have 3 usable strikers still.

The reason for my low score mainly has to do with the lack of activity. The Dumfries situation is not resolved. If anything, we kicked the can down the road one more season. Banking on Darmian playing RWB regularly this season will be a mistake. We still are going to need to sign two CBs next summer for the central spot. Palacios is a complete prayer and nothing more and is highly unlikely to contribute this season.

If we would have signed an experienced CB I'd bump it up to a 7.

well so funny people say we would have had to sell Thuram? Does any team want him? Same with Dumfries? EPL teams want Dumfries for free but to give us money?

Also Thuram was free and we were his best option. He had a decent year but not one to pay us a big transfer fee after being able to get him for free a year before.

Its like thinking you can get Hermoso for free then selling him :) maybe it works in fifa but not in the real world

Remember Onana? Thuram had several suitors. He just chose us.

It's different. Hermoso is still free at the end of the market, Thuram had a fair bit of demand and chose Inter.

If Thuram was available I'm sure someone would do a lowball 40m offer at the very least
