I can say the same for almost every country with even little success in football. Only thing is you understand English so you think there are many who are not normal. If Spanish or Italian is what English is in the world people will look at them as they look England now. Simple as that.


Also Croatian fans are way more unrealistic and not normal.

Filipinos are even more not normal in basketball world.

It's literally the same in every country with their main sport. If you want to look at that way and follow stupid media and content that is gathering this not normal people. Of course they are not normal if you are reading Daily Mail and other shit. Equivalent to 24 sata in Croatia. Or Kurir in Serbia. Nobody is normal there. If you want to look deeper you will find out completely different picture.

Southgate might be one of the worst coaches I've seen. Obviously, the English overrate their own players but individually they still have the best collection of players to choose from out of every country in the world. Yet as a cohesive unit they are absolute dogshit. They started to boss the game and equalized then immediately retreated back to defending and conceding possession and got burned. They've gotten as far as they have in tournaments simply off talent alone. Absolutely zero to do with Southgate. Their rise has been a direct correlation of their talent going through the roof and other countries falling off.

But nothing more funny than someone from Balkan calling fans from other nations arrogant which we have lot of here in Croatia. Before Croatia-Spain there was that old Samovojska clown on national TV literally saying that Ruiz is shit player. He was probably best player in that game in the end and was awesome on this tournament. But of course you will never see random guy talking about that like they are analyzing every comment in English media.

Italian fans was beyond retarded all over the internet after last euro but of course nothing about that also.

Tbh I think between euro/copa I've seen some pretty poor football imo. Spain clearly better, the only real organized team. Still kind of reminds me juve fans "9 consecutive scudetti" when there was NO ONE else in Italy, I feel like the same is true of international football right now.

Idk if it's too many games or whatever else but I think I can count on one hand the games that entertained me. Pretty boring display from many teams, many others clearly not caring, others just no organization at all. More talk of refball/VAR screwups than good play or whatever.

Hope Inter players stay healthy, get some rest, and most importantly, above all else, beat the shit out of juve next season.

Precisely. The only thing Southgate does well is bring a professor-like presence to the sideline. He looks intelligent. But his strategies and inability to get the talent he has available playing together is a continued problem for England.

This was his best tournament too I'd say. But as you point out they were in the Finals not so much because of him, but rather due to great individual efforts of their high talent level. I had a feeling those players were going to get it done, and they played Spain about as well as they could given the significant shortfalls in strategy by their gaffer.

He recently commented that they were undone by their lack of possession. Which is true. But at what point during the game, when his keeper is kicking long and turning the ball over to Spain repeatedly, should it have occurred to him to say fuck it and load that offensive zone. I think it demonstrates who he is in his base approach, which to my eye is a very careful and low-risk leader, and those types are not the ones who win the cups. It can happen. But generally the more balanced guys who adjust well tactically and have a knack for all XI being on one sheet of music are the ones who get that done.

Now of course we have it much worse in the US with our NT. But I always watch the big European national teams, and many of the best South American as well, with great envy. And England is consistently that team with the most talent but the worst tactical support for its players. So if they retain him it's going to be quite funny.
