Not really. Rano has matured a lot and is more than okay to replace De Vrij for 2-3 matches. There's a quality gap between DDA and Skriniar but unless we're facing Real Madrid or Milan, he should be fine for a while. The issue is who's gonna step up for Bastoni. LCB is neither Dimarco nor Darmian's natural position. Kolarov? With all due respect, he might be a great cheerleader but can't deputise for Bastoni week in and week out.

Disagree completely. Skriniar has a hundred youtube cumpilation videos of his highlight reel tackles against tricky, nimble players like Insigne, Correa, Mertens, Coutinho etc. if anything, he's struggled against big targetmen like Ibra, Petagna, and previously Pavoletti. Ibra has aerially dominated every derby since his return to Milan.

While I'm on that topic, I think Skriniar (actually our whole fucking team) could go on that Bayern Munich training regimen. I saw some holiday photos of Skriniar on insta and the dude has like zero muscle tone. He's actually surprisingly slim.
