My usual games are Ajax, Inter, Arezzo. After playing those games it becomes very random, Colombia, Poland, France etc are all options.

Right now I'm in my third year with Inter (Croatia just won the WC in Qatar). The previous year I've won every cup possible, just after the WC I've got kicked out of the Coppa by Udinese, they won on penalties. All of the sudden Brozovic wanted out because we can't win the Coppa anymore.

Bought Mbappé to get a ''Ronaldo effect'' again at Inter. Giving him the number 10 shirt but this guy is a glitch in this game. Normally I don't buy the Messi's, Ronaldo's etc of this world but rather develope youngsters. This guy is my centerforward in a 4-2-3-1 and scored 22 goals in 13 Serie A games.:yao:

Did anyone bought Antony, Daramy and/or Cherki? And how do they develop. All 3 wingers are performing okayish but not how I want them to perform. All 3 are wonderkids but all have a average around 6.7/6.8. I'm playing them as a inverted winger and on both sides attacking fullbacks. It seems that I just don't get them to play proper football. All my other players are average at least around 7.2.

I can't wait as always for fm22, its a highlight of my year in my sad pathetic life.

I always do a Coventry and Inter save, get sacked normally (I experiment a lot) then I do a proper career with one of them. I sometimes go lower league and see if I can rise them to the top and sometimes I do a link up game with a friend and we pick a random mid table club of a league we randomly choose.

Not really an issue. It's quite natural actually to have a local club and a team in a foreign league you like. And a couple of soft spots elsewhere.

Nothing to be ashamed of. People who say they support 15 different teams and occasionally a few of them being rivals, those you can mock all you want.

Have a friend from Italy who had no favorite club in England, moved to London and supported almost every single one of the London clubs. Was attending games, going to their pubs during away games. He went through the whole cycle of Fulham, Chelsea, QPR, Millwall, West Ham, Tottenham and Wimbledon. He didn't do Arsenal cause he thinks they're gay and I'm pretty sure he missed Brentford and Crystal Palace. The silly thing is that he's actually feeling it as a fan. Hated West Ham as a Millwall fan, hated Millwall as a West Ham fan etc

Actually got a few similar stories from some Greek friends there as well.

And yeah, you can bash these guys all you want :D

It's out already? I also have the access.

Thanks, installing now :) Will test the waters as the Ajax coach for this reason :D

But I still have to promote my English club to the Premier League on FM20. Got fast track promotions from the bottom tier to the Championship but it's got really tough here. After 15 games I'm 15th, but I'm also in the QFs of the League Cup, playing against PL 10th place Burnley away which either means I'm gonna lose 5-0 or it's a doable qualification.
Might need 1-2 more seasons in this division before Prem and doubt there's enough time till FM22 is officially out.

Hello!

I am just playing it now, I have only clicked continue once so haven't digged deep enough yet for a full review, beta also means there are not a full array of options (no facepack eurgh - or no way I know off installing them yet). I like the color, bright pink/purple/black and red buttons.

With Inter you start off with 17m, Ausilio insists you sell Martinez (he won't sign a contract as other teams are interested) Satriano seems to be the wonderkid and Brozovic starts in contract negotiations (which I found cool).

Newcastle are a cheat code.. (taken from Discord, not my save @kyle)
unknown.png

..
They have a data hub which looks cool af if you like digging deep into analytics but I can't see what it is like until I have played 3 games as they have to collect data first.
1634910932414.png
..
Apart from that everything else in my honest opinion so far looks the EXACT same.. Like I say I have spent a few hours looking at players/clubs/interface etc but not really hit continue yet, if anyone wants any screenshots or information specifically let me know, I am loving it so far but I am an FM fnatic so no surprise really.

EDIT; Agent interaction is fab!!! So in fm21 you just asked for availability of the client, now you can talk to the agent and show your hand as to how interested you are in the player and get the information you need (or don't want to hear) via your chat/responses.. fantastic addition.

EDIT2; Eriksen is in the game however he is unavailable due to medical reasons until 30/6/22

EDIT3; Signed Luis Suarez for a laugh, lets see how long it is until he is sent off.

EDIT 4; Brozo accepts contract that is already in progress when you start the game :)

Must say I'm not very impressed.

Did not play FM21 so not sure how that was, but the transition from FM20 to FM22 is not really that smooth.

Interaction with team/players/staff/media is all over the place. Might be the skin's fault, but it just makes me skip the whole thing.

Tactics are still pretty much the same.
After only one game, I cannot comment on the Match Engine, but it's hardly something I pay much attention to.

I'll do some holiday sessions as an unemployed manager to see what keeps happening (frequent transfers, 'cheat' teams etc) within the first 1-2 seasons.

@Materazzi_23 I rejected a low ball offer from Liverpool and Juventus for Mouzraoui and now he wants out when his contract expires :D

Oh, there's the issue that the Dutch NT is non-existent and Ajax has no staff. Hired Danny Blind as assistant and Tarnat as the Development guy.

First unemployed holiday run.

Inter finished 4th, Milan won the Scudetto, Juventus won the Champions League. Dzeko retired after the first season despite doing reasonably well.

Inter didn't advance from a CL group stage consisting of Man Utd, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge (1W, 2D, 3L record).
Lost at home to Betis in the QFs (0-0 away, 0-1 home loss) of the Europa League, which Lazio won.

Inter signed Griezmann on a loan+ deal from Barcelona :D
Did not sell anyone important.

In other stuff, PSG didn't sell anyone important but signed Lewandowski after the season ended, also signed Mariano. Roma sold Zaniolo to Chelsea, Mourinho is still there despite the 6th spot.
Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG and... Manchester United won their respective leagues.

Will make a couple of more of these before I make 2-3 deeper ones as I like to check out what patterns exist. Newcastle keeps signing Reguilon from what I see and generally they are loaded with money. Milan lost Kessie on a free to Arsenal.

Noticed more loan+ deals happening and some transfer fees are relatively low. Nothing excessive thus far. Lewandowski to PSG was a little north of 30m for example.

I'll make note of some tendencies that will appear in most games.

Haven't really played much, nor checked any reviews to see if there are notable bugs.

Transfer deadline day is a hoot, its like the proper sky sports deadline day I remember as a kid sneaking a day off school to watch, love it.

Another great feature/update.

They've also updated the criticise/praise training feature, more interactions, loving this game so much.

It's just too anglocentric. These things aren't really a thing anywhere else.

As is most of the game, from the Match Engine, tactics to the silly media questions.

Second speed up, this time to January 2023 just to catch the World Cup and Ballon d'Or awards.

Italy won the World Cup, by beating Spain 1-0 in the final with an Immobile PK. Fitting :D Lewandowski and Haaland won the Ballon d'Or.
Haaland ended up at Manchester City both times, around 140m transfer fee.

Inter qualified in the first year with 5 wins and 1 draw in a group with Sevilla, Porto and Sparta Prague. Draw was vs Sevilla away who got 4 draws and 2 defeats. Then Inter managed to lose in the round of 16 to Sporting CP

Bayern, Manchester City and Juventus are probably the toughest teams in the game. Manchester United is overrated, whilst Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also very strong.
PSG is just awkward. They signed Gabriel Barbosa :D Rafinha ended up in both saves at Lyon on a loan + option deal.

On this save, Inter sacked Simone Inzaghi in the winter of season 1, replaced him with freaking Valverde who then just abandoned the team after 8 months to sign with Liverpool. (Perennial issue of this game is coaches leaving teams just to join other ones in the middle of the season). Now the coach is Luis Enrique.

Season 2, CL group was Inter, PSG, Real Madrid and Gladbach. Inter had 4 wins, 1 draw (Gladbach away), 1 loss (Real away).

Juventus won the league, leading halfway through season 2 as well.
Milan 2nd, Roma 3rd with 77 and 76 points respectively. Inter 4th with 70 pts. Now the race is between Juventus, Milan and Inter.

Funny things. Kolarov was sold to Ajax at the end of the first season. Now Dzeko, not retired this time, has agreed to join Ajax at the end of season 2
Bayern won the league with no defeats and just 4 draws. On their way to repeat. (15 wins, 1 draw thus far). They also won CL in the first season.

Inter signings:
Paredes, Badiashile, Ivanusek, Gakpo, Gelson Martins.

Esposito is typically sold at the end of season 1. Roma in my first save, Lazio in the second. Probably a thing. For just 13m, mind you. Handanovic still kicking ass, Eriksen is playing some bit in the 2nd season. Vidal, Vecino, Gagliardini, Perisic and Darmian also gone. Funniest transfer is Lazaro on a loan+ deal to Milan.

Transfers all over Europe seem a bit random.

Yeah, it's a nice improvement. Usually, I just skip or didn't take part on deadline day, but I have to look for some bargain players and also because limited budget Inter has at the start season.

Finished my first season and managed to win UCL beating Milan in the final. It was a sweet finale after I only finish second in Serie A although has the same amount of points as Milan but lost head to head.
Flex a bit :), All this without load save or replay games or whatever they called, it's just personal satisfaction. I know many of us may have different approaches to enjoy the game.
I think this is my first time playing FM and winning UCL in the first season, usually, it takes a few seasons to build the squad.

Few notes after the first season.
- Just be careful when offering a contract to Barella or Martinez, if their agent tries to put a non-negotiable release clause, just withdraw and try to offer again at the end of the season.
- Eriksen kept asking why he doesn't play :/
- I use to play for set pieces, Hakan and Dimarco really likes it.

Holiday session up to 2041.

Simulation? Or endless status quo loop? It's getting sadder and sadder with the domestic leagues and the main European competitions... Been like this since the mid 2000s and heavy editing is required to make the game less reprehensible. But it is what it is.

I'll leave the rest of the comments for you. I've done enough short term tests to understand that this is how the game will be shaped if you keep playing.

Played a for a few hours and it's just a great game to play like every year. Some small changes (showing the assist in the match engine, finally!) and some general updates nothing special until now. Just the usual stuff: Clubs low-bailing every offer for my own players and asked the most clownish fees for their own. AZ wanted 223M for Wijndal in my Ajax-game. This is something which keeps coming back: Clubs not willing to even come close to your demand while asking crazy money for players who are sitting in the stands. Hope they will fix this in the final update.

@Materazzi_23 I rejected a low ball offer from Liverpool and Juventus for Mouzraoui and now he wants out when his contract expires :D
Yeah had the same problem. Told him I wanted to have at least 18M he got angry while the clubs only offered like max 12M with bonusses etc. Don't like these kind of things when no mather what you do the player will leave at the end of his contract.

I really really liked this feature but the players you get to see are f*ckin random.:yao:

Another thing they can't seem to fix properly. Everytime the usual suspects are winning but the lack of varation is shocking.

Man, I witnessed Ashley Young in an Inter shirt. If I see Andy Carroll as well I'm coming to find you

I'll give Inter a run today or tomorrow as well. Haven't really played yet, just checking how the game plays out itself mostly so I know what to change or notice.

Helps the wage budget I suppose.

EDIT; Just interacted with my board to try and allocate funds to sign Weigl and they said with all due respect a manager under pressure with a team not performing well in the league isn't to make demands.. hahaha I just won the league and its the summer window.. wtf
