I still support him.

The kid has like 20 European games under his belt, and is only like 21 years old. He didn't adapt well, and his loan move to Santos will do no favors. He should've been loaned out to a team like Parma, that would give him minutes and allow him to adapt to the Italian style. Regardless, people are too hard on the chap. Give him some time, he won't be the next Kaka, but he would probably carve a reasonable career for himself.

Not criticising the principle but I don't get whats with people's impression of Parma  so many here seem to think it's some kind of haven for our skilled young players to play 35 matches a season and blossom. That is an illusion. Reality is, despite their amazing consecutive promotions, they're still a largely garbage side and will be among the favorites for relegation. If the trends for recently promoted teams continues, they will heavily rely on experienced players over untested kids, even if those kids are talented. See the Biabiany and Gervinho signings. Cheap + experienced.

Parma better play Bastoni or we’re going to be out a lot of money for a player who has sat for two years at the senior level

What is happening with the dude?

He hasn't even made it to the bench, and they seem to play Bruno Alves and Gagliolo as starters.

Serie A preference over experience players is always true, unless the youth is 1,2 levels above their current starters, which is extremely rare. Loan clubs give zero shit about potential of the loaned players. Why would they, suffering the player’s mistakes just to send him back?

Miangue was benched for Murru, or recently, Frosinone did not touch Pinamonti even when they were desperate for goal (vs Lazio), but substitute 3 other ones in.

I want him back and loaned to Parma or Genoa/Sampdoria. Now that he has his confidence back, call him and send him on loan to these sides in Jan. Either loan him to Italian clubs or sell him.

Rose tinted glasses, and I'm the first to admit it. When you say Parma I immediately think of Crespo, Adriano, Mutu, Gigi, Thuram, Veron, Cannavaro, Chiesa, Stoichkov, Inzaghi... Obviously today's Parma has little to do with Parma of the past, but give credit where its due - they did manage to get straight back to Serie A. I expect mid table position from them, maybe higher if they do some magic in January. Had they gotten Karamoh and Balotelli they would've been a force to be reckoned with.

That is laughably low. Dude is super young scoring a ton but he failed so badly here and Portugal. If we can get 15 million then Better include a future transfer

a player like him is going to be primarily valued around what you might get in europe for him.

having flopped like this already, i dont think anyone will make any assumptions about what he might be worth in europe.

One of the problems is he's purely an 'in the box' striker, he doesn't help with build up play and he's not a great crosser, while we would stick him in the wing because we already have Icardi in that role and 2 would be overkill. I don't think he and Icardi could be in the same lineup effectively. I would try to loan him out again to see if he really has changed and has what it takes to make it in Europe.

Another game, scored a brace. As for loaning him out yet again, that's what I'm thinking too, at least until the end of the season - more games to play for him and that's fine since he's under contract here until 2021. However, he had loan offers from Serie A clubs, but chose only Brazil. That tells me he still is on the mindset of not being a loan player for Serie A, but rather a ready player for the league, and he wants only Inter. It sounds kind of egoistical, but it may also be a good thing this personal ambition/determination. He's a good asset to have either way this goes. Selling him after this loan would be a mistake.

If we're lucky, a team like Ajax or PSV spends 20m on him. Wouldn't believe it'd be possible but after seeing Ajax spend so much on Daley Blind I'm a believer. I'd also add Sporting or Porto here but he wasted the Portugal card. No serious team in Spain or France is going for him and the others are broke. Gladly there are too many non-serious teams in England who can afford to overspend on him, but I see him pulling a Jomario and saying he wants a top Champions League contender that will only have him as a starter etc. And can't see any team in Serie A willing to take him on anything other than a dry loan.

If we believe in miracles, he's actually a good player who can help.
