The best example of falling upward.
And Barca always has the weirdest transfer policy especially in signing backup striker. It was Kevin Prince fcking Boateng and now Gabiflop :chan:

Can't see Barcelona legitimately thinking Gabigol could replace Suarez.

Seem like selling options are rather scarce. Just trade him for Vidal and be done.

Barcelona could go for him, also Tottenham now that Kane is out. Let's wrap up our Giroud, and then play this around.

With Zaniolo out, I guess Roma could also come back in for Politano. Two of our most useless players (worse than our midfielders and WBs), might just have a market out there where we don't take a FFP loss. Come on Beppe, play your cards well.

Probably doing his best to get eriksen or Vidal without significant loss.

We need to double his wages and raise his release clause

Losing him in January would kill us

Mourinho coached Balotelli, I don't think he cares that much these days anyway.

I find Gabriel not moving to Tottenham because he doesn't feel like it a more probable reasons for any deal to break.

Anyway, he has an offer from Flamengo and we're just waiting for him to accept it so that we can move on. But he seems to not bother too much and probably will want to wait until February so that we have no leverage and tells us that he's either reinstated or he gets extra money from us to go there. (so instead of 18m transfer it's like a 13m one and he gets the other 5m or something.

Hopefully he signs somewhere very soon. We're also using up a non-EU spot for his return, so we probably cannot really sign Vidal without sending him somewhere.

he coached balotelli and rather publicly complained about him repeatedly

RE:non-EU slot. I'm not sure that's true - but I'm also not sure that's NOT true. I've never heard any suggestion that his return uses up a non-EU slot for us (or, similarly, that him leaving Inter gave us a non-EU slot when he left on loan)

We got rid of him, Medel, Carrizo and Banega in one window so its hard to know if he contributed or not. Also IIRC, Trent Sainsbury was non-EU? As was Murillo?

The non-EU spots are affected by any type of deals. Full transfer loan deal, same shit. But you have to re-register the guy you loaned out if he freed up a slot.

I'm not sure Carizzo had a non-EU spot and Ever Banega definitely held a Spanish passport.

We used up a roster spot on Dalbert that's still carried out on us as he didn't leave the country. Had we loaned him back to a French club we'd probably be able to bring another non-EU guy. And we got Lautaro last year. Alexis Sanchez this summer but we're allowed another one because we let Miranda go. If Gabriel Barbosa returns and sticks around, then we're using that one up on him. It's not like a tax that you paid once and that's it.

Brazao did not cost us a non-EU spot as Parma took that hit for us.

According to reports from Brazil (Globo), there's an agreement between Inter and Flamengo over Gabigol. 20m plus 20% of future sale.

Just get this guy the fuck out of our books. Though not gonna happen completely with those parameters. :D Anyway, acceptable deal in these conditions if it happens with 20m€ for 80%.

Just a bit worried that GdS mentions "€20M plus bonuses, the final details are being sorted", but nothing about the future sale percentage. Do you guys think % is included in those bonuses? Bonuses are usually tied to performances, not future transfers as far as I know.

We`re already giving them a discount. I only hope we keep that with those suckers, as they might already have a buyer for him, and the Aston Villas out there probably want to rather deal with Flamengo than Marotta. Just in case someone pays stupid money for him, we should share that profit.

Real Madrid just dropped €30m on Flamengo`s Reinier Jesus, so hopefully Flamengo will now show Inter the money and finish with this saga.

Nicolo Schira: "Gabigol is getting closer to Flamengo from Inter. Flamengo will pay €18M + 20% about future selling. For the striker contract until 2024 with a wages of €4M a year. Done deal in the next hours".

Pedulla also reports that there are only details missing for Gabigol to join Flamengo.

So this weekend or thereabouts we'll have wrapped up the Eriksen, Politano and Gabigol deals. Fantastic.
