Not necessarily true.

Varane, Marcelo, Higuain, Casemiro. They will buy young unestablished players from time to time.

I said they won't splash big not that they won't sign them.

They bought:
Marcelo in 06-07 for 6.5 million
Varane in 11-12 for 10 million
Higuain in 06-07 for 12 million

When was the last time they splashed big for a kid from South America? IIRC, Perez hasn't splashed big for any player from outside Europe.

Well if you want to put it like than I struggle to think of a ton of South Americans in recent times that have come to Europe for big big money. Other than Neymar and Lucas Moura. Maybe Oscar?

Although South American teams are asking more these days most of the big money South American buys are still from other European teams.

even if we say that madrid hasn't splashed big for any player outside of europe and hasn't signed un-established talent in the past, doesn't mean they aren't going to do it in the future. doesn't mean they will either. i don't think that makes it less likely for madrid to be considering to sign GJ, especially when all of europe's top dogs seem to be chasing him. at the end of the day we have no idea what's actually going on.

Colombia this summer.
Cassiera - no name striker u20 of Dept Cali to Ajax 6 million euro
Davison Sanchez - 5 million euro u20 starter at Nacional to Ajax as well
Marlos Moreno - will be announced next week 8-9 million euro to Fiorentina or Man City.....
Harold Perciado - U23 striker - 6-7 million from Dept Cali to Pescara. Rumor is Napoli is the one buying him

None of these dudes have EU passports pretty sure the Argie league is sending dudes for big money
Roger Martinez - Colombian who plays for Racing in Argentina part of our U23. Was just sold 8 million euro to Lyon....

not huge money but way more then our broke ass team can afford. + we want dudes from Argentina and Brazil who are instantly 30-40% more expensive then a colombian or chilean.

I don't trust in South American wonderkids any more. Sooner or later they become overpriced because their ownership is really unclear.

Plus I remember when those players were still trustworthy like Kaka, Tevez, or Ronaldinho.

After that everyone were hugely overpriced for the effect they had. Even Neymar.

Hello all.

I don't know everything, but,.. I have been watching Inter, since the 1960's, long before colour TV. One thing I know for sure though, is,.. there are almost no Inter fans, here. You criticise the manager, the players, and, the owners. You have no idea about being black and blue. Whoever wears our colours, has our respect. We stand together. This isn't a video game. It's what we believe in and gets us through our lives, by believing. Anyone who undermines my team, is a hunchback or a child. We are Inter. A one legged pig, can wear our shirt, and, I will respect him for standing with me. We win and lose together. It's what being brothers is about.

I want us to win every game and every trophy. Sometimes we can,.. sometimes, we have. When we can't,.. after the sickness passes,.. I will still be black and blue. We take the pain of defeat and the joy of victory together. Now, we have the joy of looking forward to our colours rising once again to the top of Serie A. I know there are infiltrators from lesser clubs, commenting here, but, for true Interisti,.. we will always stand together. FORZA INTER !!!!

According to Sport, Barcelona are ready to make a new and increased bid for Inter's target Gabriel Jesus. The Blaugrana will offer more than 19 million, after Real Madrid's attempt to reach the young talent. Next days the management of Barça will reunite to set the bid, knowing that the player likes more them than Blancos.

Tomorrow will begin Inter pre-season in Appiano Gentile and next week is expected to be hot for the Nerazzurri's transfer campaign. On Tuesday Giovanni Branchini, Gabriel Jesus agent for Europe, will come back to Italy. Inter asked him to bring their offer to Brazil (euro 25 million + bonus), but the competition is very hard with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen strongly interested in the young striker, Corriere dello Sport claim.

I hear you, mate. I also find the extreme criticism of the coach, players, etc here a bit too much. But I don't think we got any hunchbacks here... maybe some kids.

We need more fans like you here, so welcome brother! Keep posting.

So you are between 60-70 years old and...that's rare around places like this
So if I criticize my team I'm not a real fan
My dad is 62 years old and an Inter fan since the Herrera/Grande Inter days and I'm a fan since the day I was born probably
So please tell me I'm not an Inter fan because I don't like our coach and some moves we made?!
Also my dad isn't an Inter fan too because he thinks Mancini is a moron with little coaching skills
Am I getting you right?!

Honestly, could not understand why Real, Barca, or Bayern are after him. He still looks very raw and does not seem like an outrageous talent such as Neymar or even Robinho (at that time).
I get why Inter want to gamble on him, though. But those rich clubs can afford to wait and see then splash the cash next season or two with similar amount of money (maybe 15-25m more, which is nothing to them) if he proves to be the real deal.

Inter: Gabriel Jesus or Lamela
By Football Italia staff

Gabriel Jesus agents will reportedly meet Inter on Tuesday, but Tottenham’s Erik Lamela emerges as an alternative.

The Nerazzurri remain favourites to secure the Palmeiras talent’s signature, although there is also interest from Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, on Tuesday Inter will meet with his European representative Giovanni Branchini.

The price-tag is around €25m plus bonuses, while agent Cristiano Simoes confirmed an approach from Bayern Munich.

Tuttosport claim that if Inter miss out on Gabriel Jesus, then they will turn their focus towards Tottenham Hotspur talent Lamela instead.

He costs more or less the same amount, but Inter could lower that by including Croatia international Marcelo Brozovic or defender Jeison Murillo in an exchange deal.

Yeah, this sounds totally like when we tried to get Lucas Moura. Eventually some big ass club comes and pays the real price and it's the end of it.

It reminds me of both the Paulinho and Lucas situations tbh. Too much playing around, not enough serious interest/bids (and waiting around).

I don't understand how anyone on the forum is taking this seriously. Our percentage odds of getting him are probably .01%
