ohh man it was great to see Eliakwu play man...he is really good...!!!

Inter Primavera reach the national championship final for the third year in a row after beating Juventus 2-1 in Sunday's semi-final.

The Nerazzurrini took the lead after 61 minutes when Meggiorini struck home after excellent work by Eliakwu, then with a minute left on the clock the Nigerian set up Dino Marino for Inter's second. Deep into injury time, Juventus pulled one back through Palladino.

Bernazzani's boys will face either Lecce (last year's winners) or Brescia in Thursday evening's final, which kicks off at 21:00CEST at the Stadio Mancini.

INTER 2-1 JUVENTUS (HT: 0-0)

ELIAKWU: "WE'RE IN THE FINAL!"

He didn't score. Instead, he made both goals in Sunday's national championship semi-final win over Juventus.

Assists for Riccardo Meggiorni and Dino Marino saw Nerazzurrini striker Isah 'Aly' Eliakwu turn from being scorer to provider, but with 38 goals in 38 matches this season, the prolific Nigerian is still the nightmare of all Primavera defences.

"I'm very happy, really very happy," enthused Eliakwu after the 2-1 victory. "We knew it would be tough against Juventus because they won the Viareggio tournament and the cup. But we knew we could beat them. I'm very pleased, for my game but most of all for my teammates. We're in the final."

Don´t forget the age difference between the two teams. Juventus fielded a team that on average were like 1 year older than Inters team.

Eliakwu is just such a good talent. And I can´t agree with you Pulsar. Eliakwu has much better ball control than Martins had at the same stage. Maybe he lost the ball to easy at times yesterday, I agree, but look what Martins training with the big boys in 1-2 years has made to his ball control, incredible development. Because Martins ball control was to say the least, crappy, not too long ago.

And Dino Marino, what a name!

Now that the future looks bright, let's not destroy this with some lame signings and crappy tactics... :)

Good to hear that the Primavera squad is doing sooooo well. IT will definately be important to keep those talents and switch from buying tons of players to depending more on the youth teamers...

2 bad we got rid of Cuper since he started youth teamers, especially in the Coppa Italia where like the whole squad was youth teamers :D

Too late for that. The midfield star of our Primavera team is Dino Marino who plays the exact role as... *drumroll*.... JUAN VERON!!!!!

True. But Verón will retire within a few years -3 at most. So there might be hope for Marino in the future. ;)

Unless we sell him... :rolleyes::rollani:

Congrats to our great Primavera!!! :star:

Congrats to the boys and we can hold our heads high for once. BTW, whom did they beat in the 2002 final?

I was really surprised to only hear of that victory in this forum and not in inter.it as soon as it happened. They didn't bother to stay a bit late and post the results, instead they waited to the next morning to post the results. Yet another low for the once prestigious inter.it. :depress:

Puls, thanx for the report on Issah!!! ;) Now stop the assumption that you are not welcomed here and post more!!! :D

So, Lecce it is. If I'm not wrong, wasn't it Lecce who beat us in last year's final???

I don't know who does Rodio play for but it doesn't matter. Eliakwu will score a hattrick in the final to redeem himself for not scoring any goals against Juve.:hopefull:

Altough I`ve never seen them play, I get the feeling they have the right combination of talent and luck which could lead to great achievements.
