i'm definitely interested to see what happens to our youth team with de boer at the club. i'm not necessarily saying i expect us to promote 10 youth team players to the first team or that i expect anything at all, but it'll be cool to see what happens with a coach who didn't show any reservations with playing young players at ajax. at the very least i think he would've given mroe chances to gnoukouri and puscas over the last 2 seasons.

Has Gnoukouri been loaned out yet? He wasn't called for this match either.

Can we please not overreact to all this youth love saga.
We are not ajax , we don't need to create football players and then sale them for value.

We are fucking Inter , we should win titles and all the clubs have won titles through big players and we will not be an exception.
Of course i would love our youth to be given a chance but mancini has given debuts to a lot of players , the issue why they dont succeed is with the italian system and b teams not with inter past managers or directors.

therefore lets ask to de boer what we ask to every other manager , win fucking titles . If he does that while making some youth player explode even better....

bro, no one said anything otherwise. and no one really expects our youth to be good enough for our first team. but de boer is coming from the ajax environment so he could show some interest in our youth system which is always interesting.

also, inter managers may not be the biggest factor in them succeeding or flopping, but that doesn't mean mancini handled them well and that it can't be a factor. i don't think barely giving any chances to bonazzoli or puscas ahead of podolski was good for their development. i don't think dimarco vs bayern was good at all for his dvelopment. let alone not letting us loan out gnoukouri, playing him in the first game of the season and not playing him in any other game after that bar 12 mins against samp and wasting a year of his development.

I don't think we'll see too many players coming straight out of the youth academy still. One of the well documented problems with Italian football is that nobody knows what to do with kids between 18 and 22. So many good talents get derailed during that age range because there are no second teams in Italy. Most of the young talent at Ajax plays for Jong Ajax first so they get a more gradual introduction into adult football. Until we figure out a way to develop kids into their late teens early twenties we won't have a ton coming into the first team IMO.

I really wish we had a satellite club or something, but overtime we try it seems to only happen for a season than it falls through.

i personally don't think it only has to do with second teams and the transition from 18-22 if we're talking about having players that can play for our frst team (i also wasn't necessarily talking about that, i was just wondering how FDB would handle what he has and i could see this opening more opportunities for young players, even if we're not talking about starters).

if we're talking about that though, i agree second teams are a factor. if we're talking about italian football the youth systems need investment and coaches need to adapt. if we're talking about inter, i think our youth system as a whole needs work. there's a big difference between the talent we actually produce at the club vs the talent we scout when they're already 16 or 17. although we still have a lot of talented players come through the youth team. also, i feel we treat our primavera team more like a B team. it's too early to put so much emphasis on tactics and even implement results based football, as we've seen in the past with stramaccioni for example.

A late update.
the primavera won the game against Salernitana last week 5-0 (Piscopo, Butic, Pinamonti x2, Gaydu).

keep an eye on Vanheusden (cb) and Awua (dm).

right now is the 3 game of the season vs VIRTUS ENTELLA (live on Sportitalia) -
1 Di Gregorio, 2 Gravillon, Vanheusden 5, 3 Lombardoni; 8 Rivas, 7 Zonta, 4 Awua, 10 Piscopo, Cagnano 6, 9 Pinamonti, 11 Gaydu.

update: Pinamonti with the lead after 3 minutes.

After Miangue and Gnoukouri, who is next?

The game against Bologna was emblematic, it helped us to realise how important youngsters are to Inter’s and their coach’s philosophy. After Miangue and Gnoukouri, it remains to be seen who else will get to debut in the Serie A. In the roster is the goalkeeper Radu, a talent who has renewed his contract but otherwise is closed off from the first team by Handanovic. All eyes, therefore, are on Pinamonti who has an assured future, and on the defender Vanheusden, but in perspective the most promising might be Vergani, a player born in 2001 who scores very much.

presumably he's not that good. transfermarkt says he's played twice for their primavera of 3 games.

First time hearing of Edoardo Vergani. Checked transfermarkt and apparently Inter got him from Monza in 2004 (It its likely Inter had him from before just that he moved at that time due to the Italian regional regulation on youth movement).

He has 13 goals in 8 games for Italy u-15 and 2 in 2 for Italy u-16.

lel

no

playing vs roma. roma down to 10 men after 30 min because of a cynical elbow on vanhausen. instead of taking the opportunity and winning, we go mental, go down to 9 men and lose 2-0.

I don't if this is the right thread, however Di Marco scored a brace (one penalty) in the under 20 match against Poland.
