New FFP rules will make teams invest in their academy, i can see them putting in a minimum domestic player rule in the future

Old FFP rules were meant to too. We also already have player requirements imposed.

4+4 requirements in the CL for sure, possibly in the league as well?
Same rules apply in the league. Only difference is the interpretation of developed by the club.

Serie a player only needs to have been on the books for 3 years between 15 and 21.
For Uefa the player needs to be at the club.

FFP rules didn't help with youth investment they just didn't impact negatively, which is different.
FFP wouldn't count investment on youth as costs but that still would require the willingness/capability to invest which i think in the last years of ownership changes has been left behind.

I don't even hear anymore speaking about a youth strategy whatsoever.

AFAIK Theres no real difference bettween the new financial rules andd FFP in terms of how it is regarded for youth investment; youth investment is exempt in both cases - actually, the new rules include a wage cap which could potentially impact youth?

I think the Growth Decree change relates to this youth development thing.

They will have a limit for Growth Decree, but it will be minimum limit, meaning salary needs to be AT LEAST 1m. This will basically block youth moves from abroad for tax purposes.

Though this probably affects mostly to smaller clubs than big clubs like Inter.

Yeah, thats allegedly the case, but to be honest, how many youth have we signed because of it? We've always signed foreigners in the youth and its never worked out - growth decree (in my mind, no data) hasnt changed the volume of players we're signing. The tax relief on sub 1m/yr is so minimal that its basically irrelevant for a club like Inter

I already wrote that affects small clubs more than the big clubs.

How much did we spend on these shitters like Colidio, Knutsen, Odegaard, Darian Males etc. I know I'm forgetting plenty more.

Come on man. Poor Knutsen cost just 500k. :D Don't be so harsh on him.

Salcedo on the other hand. :palm: That was a fucking disaster and someone who deserves a place on your list. 10m for someone who has shown nothing on a senior level.

19.5 m for Colidio and Salcedo is shocking.

But according to transfermarkt it seems that we made a profit on Odegaard: signed him for 1.32 m in 2017, sold him for 5 mil in 2018 to Sassuolo. Scored 8 goals and made 6 assists in the Eredivisie this season.

Moratti-era weakness can seen in this part along managed Inter, no priority to use Inter primavera into first team squad or looking to earn nice profit from that place. Thohir and Suning still better managing primavera and multiply some advantages from there.

so

Inter Primavera is the most awarded team for the season. Casadei is midfielder of the year, Rovida goalkeeper of the year, Valentin Carboni is the revelation of the year.

Lets see if aanything comes of this
