It was a pain watching this game, a true pain. At the 80 minute i was already sure that we would not win. Yes, here and there we created some chances, but i don't feel like we dominated them, they only tryed but without heart, without head, without motivation... so yeah, already at the last 20-30 minutes i was sure that this game was over. Normally this Inter never died and even in the 95 minute i still believe that we would score.. it's sad, dissapointing, so so much...... can't remember the last time i felt this bad after an Inter game.

i remember when we had a record, we scored for something like 30 games in a row at least one goal, so basically it was guaranteed that inter would score at least one goal (btw. only league games of course). Then last month we ended the record with the 0-0 against atalanta, and now here we are, no goal against sassuolo, no goal against genoa... were not the same team anymore.

honestly, it's the game where we officialy can say that Inter will not win the scudetto. Sure, there are still a lot of games. But the signal that the team is sending are really really bad. Today we were suposed to win, nothing else. We were winter champions with a lot of scored goals, the defending was also improving a lot. Now we are second but only because the other teams are doing bad. But after all this points you lost, you deserve nothing.

Should have known that December month was to good to be true. Was some of the best football I’ve ever seen Inter play so Kudos Inzaghi but now you’re showing your true colors, that of a loser. Beg and give Conte whatever he wants to come back, if not get Juric
Imagine Conte without Lukaku. It would be even worse. We are in crisis but the only options from the bench are freaking Caicedo, Vecino, Gagliardini or pathetic Vidal.
We should win such games even without a coach. Pathetic performance from every single player.

When Sawyer has nothing positive to say you know how fucked up the situation is.
Im struggling right now, can't lie. It's worrying when you can't score, its even scarier we are still the top scoring team in the league by 2 goals (Milan, Lazio on 53)

@Universe post about Milan drawing is the most positive thing I can pull out, that and the game in hand that (I know everyone will laugh/faceplant here) can take us to the top of the league by 1 point over Milan.

We need to execute this game in hand ASAP, something has to give and I honestly feel it is finally time to sit Dzeko out for a league game or 2 and play slightly differently with Sanchez/Toro leading the line or Correa/Toro leading the line... Dzeko needs a good 2 game rest or we're gonna see Dellacasa bringing on the zimmerframe at full time to walk the poor bastard off.

Funnily enough it could be the Liverpool game that turns are 2nd half of the season around.

I am not worried, just a slight concern. Besides the dreadful Sassuolo result and draw tonight, the other games don't warrant concern due to teams played against.

We just need Toro to score from open play and I honestly think he will start exploding with goals.

Hopefully Gosens/Correa will massively boost our morale and chances...

Forza Inter always, in Inzaghi I trust, in the squad I have faith.

Was thinking about playing Verdi's " Requiem" after this last match, but we still have a game in hand, but the margin for error is approaching zero. Still have hope, but with tribulations. FORZA INTER!

I am trying to understand how we have gone from being Champions of Italy to now looking like a banter era throwback or midtable contender.

I am in disbelief regarding how much we are struggling and it is not down to tiredness. The first 35 minutes of the game saw us trying to find rhythm and something that resembled our game. It was not until the last ten or so minutes of the first half that we actually started to apply some sustained pressure.

The second half was farcical: the longer it went on the most desperate we became. With all the long balls, I thought I was watching Shrewsbury Town rather than Internazionale. Alexis was a step behind the game the whole night: Slow and plodding. Dzeko, for all his hard work was not much better. Bringing on Vecino and expecting him to header a goal like Vinnie Jones was pathetic and a good indication that we were well and truly out of ideas and options.

Vidal absolutely gives me the shits with his mostly overhit passes out to the flanks which no team mate could get a foot on. I really hope that he and Sanchez leave at the end of the season because their salaries do not match their output and their continued presence at the club is a travesty.

Caicedo seemingly lost every contest. He was so shit that I started laughing at how the Genoa fans were booing him and how cruel it was to: (1) have him in our squad; and (2) subject Interisti to watching him play. I look at him and do you know what I think? He reminds me of a professional footballer that is playing based on forged passport/identity documents. He looks so old and past it that it is a joke and a blight on Inter's youth system.

Just on old players, the club needs to well and truly abandon its reliance on old footballers for experience. Of course, old and experienced players can have a place in the squad but not as: starters (Sanchez and Dzeko) or as first substitute options (Vidal).

I know there is still alot of football to be played but I feel that we have squandered this championship and the overwhelming feeling I have is that come the end of the season, we are going to look back on the last 15 minutes of the Milan Derby as well as the games against Sassuolo and Genoa with real regret as we failed to capitalise and build a buffer. At this rate, the game in hand is not going to count for much on current form.

Lastly, anyone who thinks our run in is "easy" is sadly mistaken. Perhaps for the Inter that we saw before Christmas that would have been the case. But the Inter that we are seeing now is only a shadow of that team.

No results in the coming months are a given and right now, it is becoming increasingly likely that our match against Juventus in Turin will decide our season. And we all know how that one will go.

Gosens joined Inter 30 days ago and got 0 minutes ( don't tell me about the injury ! we already knew the situation )

Caicedo joined Inter 27 days ago and got 9 minutes.

Sounds like The Winter Inter came back ! sounds like fucking Branca or god damn Ausilio is in charge instead of Beppe !

We could have, and should have, killed the league and had the scudetto locked down by this point. Luckily as it stands, scudetto is still ours to lose.

Strikers became our scapegoat for failure and that's largely deserved but last night was terrible performance by all. Midfield was dysfunctional and defense was shaky with more DeVrij blunders. I'll also say that that Genoa pitch looked worse than San Siro did in the past weeks.

I'm thankful for the Caicedo cameo because we now know exactly where we stand with our forwards. What annoys me even more than the fact that striker duos don't work in any variation is that there is no clear chemistry between those guys. They don't even look like they like each other. Morale looks grim.

It's unfair to dump this on Inzaghi because he is given insufficient ingredients to create something, but one can't help but wonder if Inzaghi would still be here if we were back in Moratti's days.

That Caicedo cameo was like watching David Lynch movie. Like some scarejump from some guy that scares the shit of you and you never see him again after that and you are whole the time afraid he may return. Hope we never see him again lol

Lautaro did well for what it was worth. But what it was worth was not enough. Limone should've subbed him on much fucking earlier.

Would've been a great boost for him to score that turning shot from 20m away, not to mention that last grasp chance where his shot was blocked. But it is what it is.

Our forwards are in abysmal form but the midfield isn't much to brag about either. Calhanoglu was easily our best midfielder yesterday, and that isn't saying much. Brozovic had a poor game but I found myself borderline disgusted with Barella. His petulance and overall way of playing is wearing thin on me.

I hope Marotta is seriously reconsidering the captaincy after watching Barella this season. The guy has done the exact opposite of becoming a leader. Only Skriniar has stepped up to the plate.

i don't get the subs man...we are chasing a goal, and he took out our two most creative players, I get if he took Hakan and play Sanchez behind Lautaro and Džeko but, I don't know, and then this Vecino guy, ugh, Darmian should have to come in way before instead of Danilo, he is better fit with Dumfries and is over all better player and in better form

Genoa has more draws (14) than losses (12) and wins (1 :yao2: ) combined after 70% of the league has been played.
