Feel bad for Dortmund
Must have sucked being a fan of their club these days

btw, read this from Goal.com "Pep hasn't granted a single interview in three years in Munich"
Is this for real?

Yes, he has a very strict relationship with the media and has only ever done what is minimally required of him like press conferences, pre and post matches, and some TV interviews.

The Spaniard will leave Bayern at season's end to take over at Manchester City next season.

His press conference at the club's Sabener Strasse headquarters concluded with him shaking hands with all of the reporters present, and admitting it had been hard work for all of them over his three years in charge.

"I know that it's difficult with me," he said.

"I don't give any interviews, I don't have a relationship with the reporters but I think that it's better this way.

"I didn't come here to change German football. I may be arrogant, but not that much."

Guardiola added that he will "miss almost all of my players" when he moves to City, saying that he has "learnt a lot from them".

The former Barcelona coach will get his hands on a third straight Bundesliga title after his side's final league fixture at home to Hannover.

He can expect a shower of beer, as is tradition after winning the title, even though he admits he would prefer not to be part of such a ritual.

His relationship with the German media has largely been regarded as quite cold, with repeated reports of a mole within his side leaking out details to the press also influencing his decision to keep a safe distance from journalists and only fulfil the minimum of his obligations towards them, with pre and post-match press conferences and television interviews.

He will have to meet the media again before bidding farewell to Bayern, however, but that will take place in Berlin ahead of the DFB-Pokal final with Borussia Dortmund next weekend.

Would be interesting to see how he handles the English media.

Some years ago they were nearly bankrupt. Now they have a good squad, they play CL, they have the highest attendance in Europe, they play good football etc.

Feel bad for us.

Good news.
FIFA grants Bundesliga right to trial video referee in the next 2 years
  • in 2016/2017 there will be 3 'dry runs' per week, with a video referee having the technology available but not actually influencing the decisions on the field
  • in 2017/2018 they'll do the full test, with all 9 matches per week being influenced by the video referee
  • Only for 'crucial' decisions: Goals, penalty calls, red cards, violent conduct and cards that were given to the wrong player
  • No challenge system
  • There'll be a video referee watching and the main referee also has the ability to watch replays himself

What's the point of the 3 dry runs this following season? So say a goal is incorrectly awarded, presumably the video ref alerts the ref and they both agree the goal shouldn't have stood and they just shrug their shoulders and say sorry?

3 per week per game?

So offsides wont be included? Hopefully they're included because that's what the Linesman fucks up a lot, usually at a crucial moment.

It's so they can streamline the technology and optimize their workflow for when it goes in for real.

Offsides are probably included in the goals bit.

Even professional soccer teams photoshop their managers in for signings when they aren't there
