My guess is that they'll get some ex-Bayern guy to steer the ship until the end of the season, end up winning the league probably and making him permanent.

Erik ten Hag from Ajax to Bayern is the latest rumour this morning.

Ten Hag previously was an assistant coach at Bayern (he coached their reserve side for two seasons) so culturally he’d be a good fit.

Shame for Ajax though, if it happens.

You can read multiple names being linked with Bayern this morning. From Mourinho, Allegri and Wenger to Ten Hag, Klose and Xabi Alonso. I believe the German media have no clue about who's considered from Bayern board for the position and they're just making up rumours. We need to wait for few more days for any concrete rumours.

I agree with brehme, Bayern aren't stupid, they'll appoint a care-taker and see what's available in summer.

According to reports from Germany, Ralf Rangnick rejected Bayern and now Arsene Wenger is the favorite for the job.

Edit: After helding talks with Rummenigge, it seems Wenger won't be the next Bayern coach.

I had been switching between our match and der Klassiker. Dortmund have been utter shit. Total domination from Bayern.

I was reading some Bayern forums earlier this week and the way some of their fans discredited Kovac for his double last year, on the basis that winning the double in Germany is basically the baseline expectation for any Bayern manager and team, made me think of two things that, admittedly, I already knew.

1) This Bayern team, even in crisis mode, is still far more talented than any team in Germany and are the runaway favorites to win the Bundesliga again this year.

2) How the fuck can any fan extract entertainment out of watching their team when the baseline expectations are to win both trophies in the country every single year? Every game where points are dropped is a crisis. And, admittedly, I'm not saying we're any better ourselves over here - Crisis Mode for any non-wins is pretty much standard protocol at any top club unfortunately - but the level of entertainment and drama you can extract from any teams you support tend to come from the expectations you have relative to that. In non-gibberish English, that is to say that, if your expectations are championship-or-bust, then everything prior to winning the championship is merely a means to an end, and if you fall short of expectations? Then you've wasted your time and gotten nothing to show for it. And that sounds like a miserable way to go through watching your sports teams. Everyone wants to win a championship - I've been an Inter fan since 2013 and have never experienced a trophy myself in my time as a supporter - but there's a difference between having realistic hopes for winning one, and basically saying it would be a catastrophic failure to not win one. It pretty much goes without saying that I will appreciate Inter's next Scudetto far more than any Bayern fan will appreciate their next Bundesliga championship (I forget the German compound word for that at the moment), assuming of course that I, or anyone else here, am around to see our next Scudetto.

Oh, and as for Dortmund, they went to the Allianz last year in a tight title race and got annihilated as well. Favre is the Swiss Spalletti. He can invigorate a club when he arrives, but will he ever win a championship in a top league? No. He doesn't have the mentality to steer his club in that direction. He's not a bad manager by any means, and he has good tactical acumen, but at the top levels that only goes so far. Like, I would take Conte over Favre every day of the week. His histrionics in the media can get annoying, but he's a flat-out winner. If he's not our next Scudetto-winning manager, then it might be a while before we find our next Scudetto-winning manager.

If your team's level is about 7.5/10 you cannot win the league against a team whose quality level is about 9.5/10 no matter who the coach is. The more close you finish to them, the better and more effect you have. Or it could be (partly) because they didn't play up to their standards.

Calling a loser a manager whose squad is much weaker than his rivals because he cannot beat them over the long run is a sign of ignorance. And here we also have the additional factor of FIGC, several teams bending over when they play Juventus and then fight for their lives against us and the other rivals and general corruption to top it off. And this is probably Juventus' worst season so far where their only good game was against us and it was our worst performance against them in Serie A since that 2013-14 away game. Probably even worse than that actually since the gap between the teams is smaller now.

It's ironic that when you put these "losers" in those jobs they end up winning the league anyway. Maurizio Sarri, another "loser" and "choke artist" is now top of the table if they beat Milan and the biggest favorite for the Scudetto. Put Spalletti there and nothing changes. He's still the favorite to win. He doesn't transform from a "loser" to a "winner". It's just the squad. The manager's effect is somewhere in between but it doesn't affect the players' quality or the amount of great players he has at his disposal.

Dortmund are getting humiliated at home against the bottom of the table. How did we manage to lose against them?

3-3 after all.

This Sancho kid gets on the stat sheet a lot, you can see there's some talent, but damn, the kid can be so frustrating. Kept losing possession all the time without pressure but at the end of the day he'll be praised for having a goal and an assist.

Thorgan Hazard had some moments too. Of both kinds.

Brandt was their best player and even he made some silly mistakes.

Not sure what to think of this Dortmund team. Capable of the best and the worst at the same time. A team that seems to rely too much on their mental state.

Did anyone catch the Schalke - Union Berlin game? What did you think of the penalty awarded to Union? It looked 100% stonewall in real time and the referee gave it. However, in slow motion (as it would've been checked by VAR) the replays showed that the Union player had already begun a dive, long before his leg collided with the Schalke defender with the slightest of touches.

Like I've said so many times recently, I don't even know the fucking rules of football anymore :palm: For me, that's a dive because he begins his simulation and then later makes negligible contact. Does the VAR room not check it after the ref awards the pen? Surely anyone watching that in the replay provided can clearly see he throws himself to the ground (simulation) then lightly brushes the defenders leg. It's not dissimilar to the penalty given to Ronaldo vs Genoa.

Here's the vid. Watch from 1:57

Fucking seriously though. What is, and what isn't a penalty these days is fucking retarded. See that penalty against Jorginho in the Valencia v Chelsea match too. Retard Valencia player just runs into Jorginho and it's a pen? Fuck off.

Red for Hummels. Still 1-2 for Dortmund.

Schick has been playing better and better for RB Leipzig. Seems like Werner and Schick could become a great combo.

Freiburg missed a couple of sitters just before the 90th minute vs Bayern for the win. They ended up losing 1-3. Sums up Bundesliga

For those who still remember (or better: can't forget) the terrible Inter bells: Union Berlin had it's 17th Christmas singing on December 23rd. There were 28.500 people - sold out.

Other clubs like Dortmund, Schalke, Köln, Düsseldorf etc. started to copy this tradition:
