Yeah, Dahoud is the man right now for them, especially compared to Brandt... but Brandt first season wasn't bad, but it wasn't what everybody was expecting. He's still young enough to turn it around, kinda reminds me of Sneijder situation at Real Madrid.

Anyone knows what happened to Thorgan Hazard and Brandt? Rarely hear their names these days.

Brandt has the quality but not quite there mentally, also a bit soft physically. Hazard just doesn't have the quality for a for a trophy winning team, he belongs one a team like lolsburg or Neverkusen

Yeah, Dahoud is the man right now for them, especially compared to Brandt...
Dahoud has been a long wait. This is his 3rd season already. What I love about him is that he likes to play the ball forward as much as possible, very direct player. But I'm doubtful he'll be as good as Gundogan was in 2012-13.

I still feel if we snatched up Thorgan for that LWB (which he does play at times, especially for Belgium) instead of Dalbert, we'd be having a different conversation. He would fit here and would be better than all the LWBs we have right now, but that ain't saying much.

But he is so injury prone and getting older now, so even I stopped hyping him. It's a shame, but that happens to a lot of footballers. Just imagine how much more would Ronaldo achieve if he wasn't as injury prone as he was. He didn't even win a CL and we all know he was amazing. Ofc not saying Thorgan is that level, far from it, but there's a lot of good players out there that know what to do with the ball. I remember Overmars, that stopped playing football because of injuries and yet, everytime I saw him play, he stuck out.

I know he played LWB a couple of games for B.Mon don't think I've ever seen him in that role for BVB, maybe in a cup game. Belgium are so stacked in offense he's pretty much an attacking LWB like Carrasco. I don't see him doing what Perishit or Birgahi can do in the defensive phase, his positioning is too suspect and his stamina has been shit lately. For me he's a winger in forward 3 formation. But I honestly don't rate him at all: only pulling his weight against lower-level teams (where the majority of his goal and assists come in) but on a whole never good enough for Dortmund and certainly not an Inter-level player.

In any case, Bundesliga is where we should look for a LWB if we don't have money for Gosens (who is Bundesliga bound himself)

If we want a Dortmund LWB we should probably look at the Inter fan, Nico Schulz

Yeah. Schulz has been pretty poor at Dortmund. He looks like just another case of a Nagelsmann player who looked much better than he actually was.

Any German speakers here? Rummenige and Watzke have confirmed they won't be joining the justice league but i have a feeling they have one foot in just in case. Dortmund fans will riot though if Watzke even entertains the idea. Germans are very big on tradition and heritage. Goes without saying RBL is on board.

Both RBL and Dortmund. Rummenige has replaced Agnelli as head of the UEFA exec committee, so that's a definite no. I think Bayern did due diligence on this already and decided the negatives were too many. Fans would probably veto it they tried. Was never a fan of 50+1 rule but I'm glad its instituted in Germany. The game should belong to the fans and they should have a say.

Because it makes it harder for BLiga team to compete with super rich Bayern or the bigger clubs in Europe. At the moment the even Dortmund - best managed of the lot who can actually mount a decent challenge (Hamburg, Stuttgart, Schalke - can only manage to be a mere nuisance for a season or two. Credit to Bayern though. They are were they are because of competent management and investment over the years/decades. You could give Hamburg Bayern's riches today and they'd still waste it smh.

I find it hilarious that Bayern is the most reluctant one. When you have completely monopoly why change it

But they'll join for sure. If you're not in ESL, it'll be hard to attract the top talent. All the best players are going to want to play here.

Bayern have always relied on getting the best talent within Bundesliga, more than competing with other leagues for talent. That monopoly will still remain.

As long as that talent is okay missing national competitions etc, it shouldn't be a problem.

And Nurnberg. Three fallen giants. Though Hamburg have good chances to get promoted.

What a shame. Schalke are the team I try to follow the most in Germany (I try to ignore the 10/11 CL QFs). I hope they bounce back quickly.
