You’ll have to remind me if I was ever a fan of this guy, I’m a Shick fanboy first and foremost
Speaking of, he just scored 4 against Freiburg. What could have been man.

Šeško went super saiyan

Nice screamer. He's having a decent season but tbh i expected more from him. Let's see how he does in second round.

Leverkusen have finally found some consistency in the league and they're somewhat close to Bayern. 4 points away. Big away win against Dortmund last Friday. First visitor to win at Westfalen this season in Bundesliga. Hopefully we're going to have a title race in the second round.

Borussia Dortmund are 8th and they lose 4-2 to Kiel who are second worst team in the league. Interesting game.

Borussia Dortmund are 8th and they lose 4-2 to Kiel who are second worst team in the league. Interesting game.

They took a gamble with Sahin and it has backfired badly. Dortmund squad has its weaknesses but it isn't THAT bad to be at the middle of the table. And the worst thing is they're sticking with him because a firing would be an admission of their failure. There's also a power struggle inside their management after the retirement of Watzke between Kehl, Ricken, Mislintat and Sammer. A real mess. Terzic must be relieved he's out of it.

If they choose to fire Sahin, Sammer wants to bring Ten Hag who was already in the stands at the match against Leverkusen while the others prefer someone who knows the league like Sandro Wagner, ex Hoffenheim and Bayern player and Nagelsmann assistant at Mannschaft, former Leverkusen and Benfica coach, Roger Schmidt, and former Union Berlin coach Urs Fischer.

If you ask me, their season is already over. They should bring an experienced stop gap to save anything that can be saved this season, fix the internal mess at the club and try to lure one of the current emerging coaches of the league (Sebastian Hoeneß, Dino Toppmöller, Bo Henriksen). They can't afford taking another coaching gamble.

Dortmund have lost their direction ever since Michael Zorc retired.

Alphonso Davies close to an extension with Bayern. That was unexpected.

Curious if Real move for Theo in summer now that Davies is off the market.

Dortmund finally fired Nuri Sahin. Many games too late I would say (or he shouldn't have been hired in the first place) but whatever.

Bayern have ZERO shots against Leverkusen in 70 minutes. Is this a joke?
This is a perspective to help reconsider our performance against Leverkusen. We rotated half our squad, even had some chances until the 65th minute and it took a wrong referee decision to beat us at their home.

This against the team that absolutely dominated the shit out of Bayern at the same stadium and in general dominated them in every game this season.

Šeško for 2-2 from the penalty spot. Didn't look like a penalty tho

This is the worst Bundesliga season in a long time. Probably the worst since 2017/18.

Bayern are in no way unbeatable. They have weaknesses, mainly in defence, but there's no one capable of taking advantage of them. Leverkusen lack the consistency of last season, due to CL games. Marmoush sale killed Eintracht season and they're in free fall ever since. After the good start, Leipzig have collapsed completely. 1 win in the last 7 league games. Another failure for Marco Rose to rise to a title challenge. Stuttgart are having the typical season of a club that doesn't have the squad depth to play in 3 competitions (very common occcurence for the 4th team in Bundesliga). Dortmund are a real mess and they're at risk of failing to qualify in Europe entirely (top 4 looks like a miracle now). It's quite telling Freiburg and Mainz currently sit in 4-5.

At least there's still interest on German Cup with the early exit of Bayern so there's that to follow in a forgettable season at the top tier of Germany.

On the other hand, 2. Liga is as interesting as ever with 3 historic clubs at the top spots, HSV, Köln‎‎ and Kaiserslautern and with only 4 points separating 1st from 6th.

im sure inzaghi and the gang will watch the replays, just gotta frustrate bayern and they run out of ideas. they leave lots of space in behind, too bad we are shit in counters. also their backup keeper made a mistake on goal

Destroying Bayer 5-0 on aggr when we struggled vs them is another angle, but the stakes will be higher on every passing R, both teams will be nervous imo, Inzaghi will have a plan against Kompany, also if they are missing Pavlovic and Kim better for us.

yeah i expect them to fully pin us back at allianz, i'd take a draw there. upamecano has improved this year but he's mistake prone still so thuram can easily scam a penalty or two lol
