Higuain was not stupid transfer at the time. Napoli was threatening Juve's hegemony but buying their spearhead striker slowed them down. If you can improve yourself while at the same time weakening your rivals, you can double the pleasure, double the fun.

It was maybe a bit short sighted but the issues started gathering when they bought Cristiano on top of Higuain.

Thats a lie, Marotta wanted Higuain since his times at Real Madrid. You cant just attribute all the good transfers to Marotta and all shit ones where other people faults. Human make mistakes, my point is that even Marotta can make wrong transfers. Even though i dont think he will splash 40 m on Scamacca.

Marotta also paid big money for Lukaku 75 m, but that turned out to be a big sucess.
We understand your point but its based on a fucking lie.

Yea. They spent 90 mln for only one season Higuain, as he was mediocre at best in his others, and they still needed to cheat in order to win, as Napoli become stronger without Higuain.

For a 90 mil, it was a huge floop,
for me, if you pure this kind of money, you expect from an individual to get you to the next level,
for me that was Lukaku, he was a big part of us winning the scudeto, and we sell him for profit on top of that,
Higuain and Ronaldo didn't do that, so they were a floop for me,
Ronaldo wasn't a floop because of money, but because he didn't deliver CL, as I think he did get them to the next level, marketing/revenue wise, they didn't loose money on him,

Is there a solid chance we get him? Now or in the summer doesn't matter.

He is good. He has room to improve. He is like Icardi but more versatile. Idk about his finishing though, on stats looks legit :D

different people different opinions  People see in him from Vieri to Icardi. I personally saw a lot of Vieri in him, he also kinda looks like a fusion of Adriano and Zlatan

This is probably the best video showing his skills. It is 2 years old and most of the footage comes from youth teams. But you can see why we want him. He is slowly starting to demontrate all his skills at Sassuolo. I think he will turn great for us.

Interesting how much he used to dribble compared to now. I wish Italian football encouraged youngsters to dribble more, sometimes Italian strikers can just be like posts. Even Icardi used to be a decent dribbler in youth football but over time just turned into a poacher.

It might be they were physically levels above their peers and then those kids caught up a bit?

During my insignificant sporting "career" there were cases of kids who were beasts compared to the rest of us, but others either closed the gap or they became too reliant on it and didn't develope other aspescts of their game.
