remember when we signed a player from sassuolo that also loved scoring nice goals from outside the box, but then came to us and his only trick was to go left and sometimes hit a woodward... this cant happen twice right?...right?

Let’s be fair. Both Scamacca and Frattesi look like better prospects then Politano ever was. The athleticism alone is night and day.

Honestly I’ve approached Scamacca with a lot of skepticism but he’s won me over. I wouldn’t go over 25mil in cash but I like his upside.

He’s confident and has a strong character. Not to mention he is physically strong and almost 2m. He has amazing technical ability for his size (go watch his goal reel). He also doesn’t fuck around in front of the net like our idiots. I also like his hold up play.

The only real knock on him is his lack of goal scoring output in youth football. It’s worth considering but it could also come down to many factors that don’t necessarily reflect his potential career.

Whether he can step up to inter is a question mark but I like his personality on the pitch.

If Inter makes the Pinamonti and cash deal for 40m total, I guess it's ok given the market. Some fear and loathing remains though, but I was against Darmian coming, so what do I know. Everbody seems to like Pirola so let's hang on to him.

Regarding Vlahovic, we all need to stop whining about our management, be it Marotta or Suning. I don't think it's about the money here. Money could be a consideration, but we haven't even reached that stage.

It is clear that we have been put off by his, or his agent's demands. Two things that are looking more obvious by the day -
- He has a hard on for Juve.
- His agent is asking for a lot. And is being a big prick.

And we have decided not to indulge such egos and demands. It's more about the personality here, than the economics.

I know that YT compilation have no bearing on a player's actual ability, but I can't help but feel worried about the fact that the majority of that video is shots that ended up straight at the keeper.
He'll feel at home among our current players then.

Obviously I would much rather get Vlahovic. But we cannot afford that, so we may need to take a bit of a punt.

Scamacca looks like a promising young CF who could really benefit from building some muscle and improving his end product. Its very hard to judge him from his career so far - playing as CF for a small team where you will have a lot of space to attack requires very different set of skills than playing for a big team against small teams who sit back. That said, Scamacca seems to have the entire package apart from the above two things in bold, which are understandable for his age.

Inter is also a great place for a CF, historically too but definitely right now. Our team is set up to create chances after chances for the CF. There is a reason why Dzeko, Lukaku, Icardi, etc have done well here compared to their clubs immediately before or after. So this is a role where Inter could take a punt on a promising CF who has all the right ingredients... if he can achieve his potential anywhere, its here.

Yes, we still don't know whether Scamacca is the next Vieri or the next Acquafresca. And apart from that, my other issue with Scamacca is that he will need a year or two to grow into this role at a top club, something perhaps we cannot afford. But that said, he looks promising. Its a tough one, looking at the options available, I wouldn't mind if Inter too the punt. But if we have to take this punt, lets not wait till the summer.

Thats fine. Marotta is smart enough not introduce a cunt into the dressing room only to leave 24 months later for Real Madrid/City.

However, I would love to see a comparison between Scamacca V Vlahovic. I dont want too many serie a games because of the time difference so judgement is based on two minute youtube highlights.

Although the one have seen seems impressive, so much power in his shot and just doesnt fuk around. If he is in the area he is going for goals....

Scamacca is the next Vieri

And if he does become a Vieri with an el toro partnership then we fans are in for a ride for the next decade.....

Valhovic seems as bigger talent than Scamacca at this point, but the cost of operation for both is incomparable. Even if Fiorentina agree with some counterparts, they will ask for at least 45-50mln cash. Then, there is agents fee and Vlahovic's salary, which would be around 5 mln according to the rumours. With Scamacca, I don't see Marotta going beyond 25mln + a player.

Have we ever actually been linked to Vlahovic? You guys all love to talk about potentially signing him in every FIF thread but I swear I have never seen one report linking us to him, not even bullshit twitter posts. You all have to let this go

Scamacca is going to be the best we can do now and in the summer most likely. He's not a generational talent but I think he would do well here after settling in. Inzaghi also got the best out of that idiot Immobile so I'm hoping he'd be able to do the same with both Scamacca and Lautaro.

I get people hate Immobile because of his performances with national team but he isn't shit. He has his limitations but he can score goals. Immobile was a capocannoniere with freaking Torino. It's not like he was a nobody who was suddenly turned into a prolific scorer by Inzaghi. Now he's also good with Sarri so it certainly isn't a coach thing. He just had two bad spells abroad. It happens.

On the other hand, Scamacca hasn't scored double digit number of league goals in a season at any level. Primavera, Eredivisie, Serie B, Serie A. Perhaps he will suddenly turn into a 20 goal forward but the guy is a gamble. And an expensive one.
