No... Fratessi is attack-minded midfielder... He is not that well rounded. We need to replace Barella, who provides a lot of defensive cover. So even if we got Fratessi, I would bet Gaglia would still start against Liverpool. Fratessi needs more time to adapt.

Icardi was 20 years old, was a 13m signing and was a prolific goal scorer at primavera one year before his outbreak season at Sampdoria. Scamacca is 23, he hasn't been prolific at any level and he's linked with a 40m move. No one would mind Scamacca if we was a teenager or if we were talking about a 20-25m move. And before someone brings it up, yes. You can add counterparts but if the guy fails the only thing that is going to matter is his 40m book value, not how much cash you paid.

Unbelievably it’s been nearly a decade since we signed Icardi and football has changed since then.

Scamacca may never be as deadly a finisher as Icardi but IMO it’s already apparent Scamacca has more facets to his game. That’s more important now than it was 8/9 years ago.

Anyway, if there’s even a slight chance we can get him now then I’m all for it. We need a forward a lot more than we needed an injured Gosens.

This might explain why we haven`t seen Caicedo medical yet. However, I highly doubt we will pay 35M in cash.

Speaking of Romano, something really interesting happened yesterday. He tweeted Inter had an agreement for Caicedo and the player would take his medical in the morning but he deleted it few minutes later. I mentioned it on Caicedo thread.

I doubt anyone cares but Caicedo will also take his Inter medical tomorrow according to Sky.

Edit: Weird. Both Romano and another Sky reporter deleted their tweets about Caicedo.
