10 years of FIFLet's speculate a bit with goals+assists(=points).
Last season we had 6 players reaching 10+ points and Zlatan leading with 37p (29+8).
I'd be happy if this season 5 players could reach 15+ in points. Goals will be divided between Eto'o, Milito and Balotelli so it might be hard for anyone of them to reach 20 goals mark (of course it can happen still). So I think it would be good to have at least 2 players reaching 20+ in points (at the same time having 3 other players reaching 15+ in points).
My candidates: Eto'o, Milito, Balotelli, Sneijder. The last one of 15p reaches are either Maicon or Stankovic. 15p is perhaps out of reach for the fifth player since we have Cambiasso, Motta and Muntari taking some of the points too (and if Pandev arrives).
Situation at the moment, top6:
Milito 6+2 = 8
Eto'o 6+2 = 8
Stankovic 5+1 = 6
Balotelli 3+3 = 6

I'm hoping for Cambiasso to get 10 points as well. His luck in set pieces are quite good while he also provided some through balls when he pushed forward at times last season. With the more dynamic midfield, hopefully he can achieve that figure.

FIF Special Ones10 years of FIFFk knows how I missed that, the best move in the game! Corrected. I think it'd be nice to give assists for earning a penalty, but sadly it's just not right to do it.
We'd end up having more assists than goals if penalties were missed, for example.

10 years of FIFYes he did. But I think that goes to the category Frisko doesn't approve it as an assist.
Penalty-earning should not go as assist, because there isn't any "passing a ball" happening.

Wrt to Vieira's assist, IIRC (My memory is really hazy here) it's the same kind of superb goal that Deki scored against Chievo at the Meazza last season so if Frisko credit Ibra for an assist for that goal, Vieira should be credited with an assist here.

Let's say the game finishes 1-0.
I get fouled in the box and convert it, I've got an assist and a goal.
Maybe.
But if I'm just one of the many players in the box attacking during a corner, and someone pulls me down, that's an assist too.
I don't know about that.
Assists are really gray.
Obviously if I run down the field and deliver a cross which is headed in by someone else, that's an assist.
If I make an intelligent pass to someone and he takes 1, 2, 3 etc touches before shooting and scoring. Fair enough.
But if the tempo's slow, and I pass 5m to a teammate directly next to me, who after not being closed down scores from long range, I don't know if that should be an assist.
Likewise, if I receive the ball and pass to Messi and he dribbles past 7 opponents and scores, I don't know if that should counted either.
