mourinho never wanted shevchenko, he didn't ask for him and he wasn't part of his plans, so naturally he wouldn't see much playing time especially since the 4-3-3 need a big striker who can hold up the ball until support arrives

In order to flop, you have to be given a chance....Sheva was never given a chance at Chelsea...

Sheva was given all the chances he could have gotten. He started most of the games in the first couple of months at chelsea but he didnt perform in any of them.( As Statsman u should know this) .Whose fault is that?its his fault that at 30yrs he decided to play in the EPL where the defenders are very strong and he wasn't physically able to handle them. After months of playing Sheva just to help him settle, mourinho changed the system back to 4-3-3 because sheva was a shadow of player , AND THATS WHEN SHEVA LOST HIS PLACE.

Chelsea's style of play didnt fit sheva's game,at milan everyone was playing for him,at chelsea he was just one the players in the team.Another reason might be the fact he had a serious injury before the WC2006,after which he couldnt recover and lost much of his speed.

In brief,Pandev has obtained an urgent court appeal to become a free agent immediately and not have to see out his contract till june. This kind of court appeal has very strict time limits, maximum 7 days before they give a verdict. This means that by the 6th Nov, Pandev will know if he can join a new team in january or immediately (I'm not sure about this) without that team having to negotiate a deal with his club. Useless to say that we should wish he has it his way so that we would not need to pay Lazio anything....

Getting Pandev for free would be a good thing. Now that the new contract plan will be taken into action, we hopefully won't splash ridiculous money straight to players' base salaries and Pandev won't get a 3m€ year contract like rumored earlier. As an act of good will, Inter can give for example Suazo on loan to Lazio (read this somewhere) and that way reduce the salaries paid a bit (maybe 1/3 or 1/4 of Suazo's salary will go to Lazio).

I dont think we should loan out Suazo though. As $hit as he might be, he is still a striker, and he might be useful while Eto'o is out. I suspect that Arnautovic might return to Twente for the rest of the season (in january) and then re-discuss everything in summer, so that would really leave us with limited alternatives upfront in jan/feb.

If Arnautovic is returned I doubt he will ever come back. Moratti won't use 9m€ to get a player who was with the team and got almost no chances.

I do believe that there is more that we dont know about the Arnautovic deal. I mean it couldnt be so much in our favour. Taking him for free to be tested and then returning him back as if nothing happened? It sounds a little too cheesy.
I believe Twente have negotiated a deal that states that only if the player doesnt recover physically will it be possible for Inter to return him to Twente. If he does recover physically(hence a sort of loan from jan to june 2010 to Twente to prove he is fit), Inter will have to buy him. I get the feeling that what we know about this deal is way too much in our favour to be true.

Can we sign Pandev on 7 Nov if he is a free agent? From my knowledge yes, can anyone confirm?

Some president in the office which handles contract terminations and such has resigned from his duty. That means the hearing for Pandev's termination of contract is postponed. There's no info when it will be held and of course will the first hearing solve anything. January might come too soon so that Inter could get Pandev for free if the contract was to be terminated.

This is from our best selling macedonian sport newspaper '' Macedonian Sport '', the title is '' Inter win the war '' ( with Juve for this player ), '' The hero from Viareggio is coming back '' ( Inter spot him on that tournament while he was playing for his first team, Belasica, he won that tournament with Inter and he scored 7 goals including 1 in the final vs Atalanta ).

The number of the jersey will be 16, he will get 2.5. milion per season and the end of the contract will be in 2012, I dont know why so short but I am sure that he will continue here more than 2 years.
So, if the article is true, from 1st January we will have him here, in Inter, all details will be agreed in 20th December when Inter play with Lazio at home.

How is Pandev off-the-pitch? Is he the kind who creates problem if he is not a regular starter? I dunn think he wud be a regular starter for us - 3rd or 4th choice - and dat means he will have to deal with spending lots of time on the bench and getting subbed in late + coppa italia

Dude, Pandev is like Stankovic or Materazzi.

His worst nightmare is not playing, but look at him at Lazio, he has not caused a fuss, he has just looked to get to the exit as quickly and painlessly as possible. Unfortunately it meant not playing FOR 6 MONTHS! That is a real professional, IMO. He knew he was being blackmailed by Lazio, to re-sign (extend his contract with them), or they won't play him the entire season. But he held out, and now he will be coming back to Inter!

I think he will be great, just what we are missing, in a way. A hungry player, with good ball control ,and dribbling. That means he would be willing to chase ANYTHING down the flank, and be able to hold up play no matter how long Motta and Stankovic take to make it downfield! :)

I think Eto'o should be more worried than anyone, and after that, maybe Muntari, because it could well result in us playing more 4-3-3.

I think he will be a hit, just like I hoped Sneijder would be (and so far has been!)

No he's not. He hasn't played a single match for Lazio. And even if he had (in EL), he could still be included to Inter's new UEFA player list. You can change one EL-cup-tied player to CL-team or vice versa.

a Decent signing. Now we have cover with eto'o going to afcon and mario being in his own world . Would have been a disaster having to count on suazo. Also the fact that he is a federation player helps.

Free agent signing would be best, of course. But if that won't happen, I don't like us to give Lazio some promising youngsters. Pay 4-5m€ and that's it. Unless they are pure loans.
