I am pretty sure Forzaitalianfootball made a mistake with this

Switzerland’s team for the World Cup has been named by head coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

The former Bayern Munich manager named five current Serie A players in his squad with Juventus’ Stephan Lichtsteiner and Reto Ziegler (most recently on loan to Sassuolo) joining Napoli midfield trio Gokhan Inler, Blerim Dzemaili, and Valon Behrami.

Hitzfeld also named seven Swiss based players but it is the Bundesliga that is best represented in the final 23 with Bayern’s Xherdan Shaqiri one of nine from German clubs.

Only one member of the squad is in their 30s, centre-back Steve von Bergen, who turns 31 five days before their opener with Ecuador.

Inler will captain Switzerland against Ecuador, France and Honduras in Group E.

The full 23-man squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Diego Benaglio (Wolfsburg), Roman Buerki (Grasshopper), Yann Sommer (Basel).

Defenders: Johan Djourou (Hamburg), Michael Lang (Grasshopper), Stephan Lichtsteiner (Juventus), Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg), Fabian Schaer (Basel), Philippe Senderos (Valencia), Steve von Bergen (Young Boys), Reto Ziegler (Sassuolo)

Midfielders: Tranquillo Barnetta (Eintracht Frankfurt), Valon Behrami (Napoli), Blerim Dzemaili (Napoli), Gelson Fernandes (Freiburg), Gokhan Inler (Napoli), Xherdan Shaqiri (Bayern Munich), Valentin Stocker (Basel)

Forwards: Josip Drmic (Nuremberg), Mario Gavranovic (Zurich), Admir Mehmedi (Freiburg), Haris Seferovic (Real Sociedad), Granit Xhaka (Borussia Monchengladbach)

I doubt Xhaka will reject Inter for Spartak. If he does, he deserves to be gangraped by Mandingo and his band.

I have a feeling the World Cup will price us out if we don't make it a done deal before.

If they accept 5 million plus Kuz it would be great!

Come on Seyedo, you're smarter than this. Why even bother posting something like this? If you were joking, make it more obvious and say, "if they could pay us $20m and take Kuz and Mariga it would be great!". Otherwise, people might think you believe something like this could actually happen. No one wants Kuz, probs not even his wife, and Kuzmanovic plus $5m is an atrocious deal. Kuzmanovic is a slow, backup player, the complete opposite to 'dynamic'. I think some petty cash plus a deadwood backup is actually a pretty insulting offer for a rising star, if thats what Xhaka happens to be.

I'd prefer to pay them outright, and hold on to Kuz. He does have chemistry with Kovacic, and generally plays within his boundaries facilitating attacks. And its not like we are blessed with depth in the midfield department.

Thinking caps, guys, come on.

Anyone heard about the "rombo di Dunga"?
Kuz could be a solid player for this formation.

No amount of thinking is going to make Kuzmanovic seem any better to me. He's tactically disciplined and is and an above average passer. That's it. I really don't think Duncan, Krhin, or Taider are inferior to Kuzmanovic overall.

I disagree. Taider and co are inferior to Kuz, simply because Kuz is an above average passer and a facilitator for attacking players. All the names you have mentioned have waaayyyyy more promise than Kuzmanovic, but are still unknowns in terms of what they bring to Inter, and are works-in-progress.
