Frattesi got exposed badly since day 1. Not sure if we can rely on him to replace Mikhy

I dont know who got that yellow card for push with two hands, maybe Pongracic, but Bastoni did the same shit alteast 5 times, maybe even more, on Pasalic in first half and Budimir in second and didnt get a single yellow. Awful, awful referee who is know for making a huge mistakes, dont know why he's even on this EURO.
Like I said, he was on the mission. Atrocious refeering. Just listen what our players are saying after the game on press. Uefa is Mafia.

"We are all disappointed, it's terrible what we experienced, we conceded a goal twice in stoppage time, especially today. He refereed everything against us, from Pongracic or Šutalo. Every contact was a foul. I don't know why he gave eight minutes of stoppage time, maybe he was watching or refereed the game from yesterday. They had chances through corners, as far as I know. We are disappointed, we have to wait for other results.

You can imagine the atmosphere in the dressing room, we are angry and sad. When I saw eight minutes of stoppage time, I thought he was wrong. We won't blame the referee, but if he had given five minutes, nobody would have said anything. This is not how we should have ended today. It's difficult to get through with two points, we should have beaten Albania, even though we could have lost 0:2, 0:3 at halftime.

In the end, we took the lead in the second half, and got a goal to make it 2:2. We were a little worse vs Spain, they are the best at the Euro so far, and yet we had chances against them. In recent years, we have been lucky quite a few times, I think that now everything has suddenly returned to us. We didn't deserve it," said Josip Stanišić.

Lets hope Dalić is finished after this, but hope is a whore.

It was clear for a long time. The best bet is Zielinski, but not right away.

"I have to underline the referee Machiavelli (the referee's last name is Makkelie, op.a.). This time the end justified the means. He was refeering tendentially for the Italians. He gave the penalty kick because he had no other choice. And in the end he extended the game by eight minutes. I played football, Tomo (Ivković, op.a.) also played it, and you feel when something is tendentious.

The way he refereed the game today... he had a criterion that was on the side of the Italians. We showed that we have width. I am most sorry for our captain, who most likely ended his representative career."

he scored important goals that lead us to the scudetto. Some might be easy, like the one against Verona. But it's his carrateristics. Going into the box and searching for an opportunity.

Uefa is Mafia.
Tbh I don't really disagree. Uefa/Fifa are a mafia. They do run a protection racket for their top earning players/teams. That being said, while I rate most of them highly, the Italian side (except barella, chiesa, donarumma) has no big names that are as recognizable as the modric's,mbappe's,griezmann's,musliala's,bellingam's of the world. I see no reason to fix a game for Italy, when croatia has more players in top teams all over europe.

Croatia did not play well (because of coach or players or both, I don't know). Italy looked the better of the 2 teams, crotian players comitted many fouls that warranted the 8 minutes of stopage. I think it was tactically, maybe, (get into Italian players heads) which backfired. Italy was just better today than croatia. It was just that kind of day.

Now 2014 world cup (were Italy was decent imo), Italy got shafted because uruguay had stars like suarez/cavanni that fifa needed to protect. That is an example of racket protection.

I'm talking about day 1 of Euro. I was excited to see how he would fare playing in a more advanced role but he was exactly the same as when playing for us.

Now Hungary's chances increased to progress.

Italy are so unconvincing, I think it's barely 50-50 against Suisse.

Crotia still has about 2% chance to be in next round, they need England to win at least 3-0

actually calafiori suspended may work out better, that's only if spalletti makes the right move of playing bonguirno in middle and bastoni left

Watching todays game made me realize how happy I am that that bald fraud coward is not our coach anymore. I mean what a moron. Has no clue how to manage the talent he has on the team. Granted Italy is not super talented, but the players look tentative and out of sorts running around like headless chickens.
Makes you appreciate Inzaghi so much more!

Who said this?

Pretty awful to complain about the ref. Croatia spent time as much as possible when the ball wasn't in the play so 8 mins was totally deserved.

Croatia needs to look at themselves and ask why they conceded two goals in stoppage time in two games. That basically killed their tournament.

Spalletti got away from this one, he got lucky. Italy wasn't too good, lacked solutions. The last 20 mins (and 7mins of stoppage) was pretty inept and that shouldn't be when you are chasing a goal because you risk going out of the tournament. Don't know if this was just a coincidence but when Scamacca replaced Raspadori, Italy just stopped playing well, the dominance dropped completely. Have to think the team simply hasn't played this 3-5-2 too much, hasn't trained it with 2 forwards who you hoof the ball to.

Spalletti should have started to use the 3-5-2 exclusively 6 months ago, when it was clear Inter is the best team in Italy by far. Use all these Inter players, use the formation and go with it. You get best out of Dimarco, Bastoni, Darmian, Bastoni (Barella can play in any role).

For what it's worth he brought us back to CL football after half a decade. (Although I think Mancini also finished 4th but Serie A lost their 4th CL spot).
