Torosidis a diver? Really?
He's a disgrace back home
He just stated: "I don't care if we qualify, I really don't give a damn. I'm just happy that we won today and we replied to our critics(back home) in the best way"
There was a moment were Greece had 21 shots and Nigeria had 6. I think it ended 27-8. Karagounis was very good offensively and was denied a few times by Enyama who got the Man of the Match award(would deserve it 100% if it wasn't for 2nd goal). The Greek goalkeeper, Alex Tzorvas, had a great reflex stop as well in the 2nd half. I would say that Salpingidis was the best player for Greece, scored the deflected goal but he gave his all today. Positive performance by Kyrgiakos and Katsouranis(on the offensive note)
Apart from a few situations, this was the Greece I expected to see. The real potential. To be we conceded a dumb set-piece goal and the Nigerians had to be reduced to 10 in order to show that. The Papastathopoulos sub(instead of A.Papadopoulos) was justified as he had a yellow card and it's easy to concede a card when the opposition is made of fast players.
A point vs Argentina and a Nigerian win is enough for Greece
So if Argentina does not show up in the last game of the group, Greece is through
I honestly think Nigeria and South Korea are level, but I give Nigeria a slight edge. 1st, they play with more brain(which is bizarre for an African team, but they have Lagerback). Korea plays with no fear, but they're not Brazil. Really brave of them to face Argentina the way they did, but it can't work. That's the kind of football I want to see though.
Greece should start Ninis and Karagounis in the next game, Karagounis playing deep, and Ninis behind a sole striker(maybe Salpingidis, who is not good at that role but can get lucky with Demichelis or Burdisso)
