Media reports that he went to locker room of North Macedonia to apologize right after the game which was confirmed by Alioski who stated that they were talking in german. It is kind of funny that the federation issues a letter requesting the toughest penalty by UEFA when the player himself sorted it out with Arnautovic.

It is also true that there is very often and more often than not a latent nationality conflict going on between those balkan guys. This as a thing is in my opinion nothing worth banning someone since I as a partly-balkan myself wouldn't count is as racism. According to the media Arnautovic was reffering to the albanian heritage of Alioski in combination with some other insults against him.

I have the feeling that the federation is trying to make more of it than it actually is in terms of the "racist part"
