Because football is a team sport not just individual qualities, France can’t play as a team and look and behold they ended second in their group even though they arguably have perhaps the strongest team in the competition

Balkan teams are known for being more about individual qualities than playing as teams and where it’s more about the mentality of the day. So it’s never knowing how they perform. The most consistent and really only performing team in that region is Croatia but it some stretch calling them truly a team, largely they performed because of a golden generation.
