Riquelme can be so much better then he is, right now he is simply a HOG, like some of the othe players on that team are.

Riquelme is best when his doing those lovely passes but when he tries to fend of 3-4 players noway does he deserve a penalty or anything else.


I know Messi wasnt 100%, but ill stick by my call that ill take Tevez anyday over Messi. Im such a big fan of Tevez' play, Messi is too physically weak IMO, however Tevez fights like a dog and i just love it. The way he owned those 2 defenders near the end was amazing.


Can somebody tell me why Maxi continues to start in that team?

Who saw Coloccini's face when he got fuked up by that LB near the end? Lol that was priceless

That's probably one of the best 0-0 games I've seen.

As a fan of great defensive displays, I had a great time watching both sets of defence (Specially Ayala :heart: and Boulahrouz) playing well. I have nothing to add about the former, but Der Kanniable looked really good.

I was afraid he will have it tough against Messi and Tevez, but he seemed okay. I really thought he'd be turning into another Materazzi earlier in the season, but he seems to improve alot. I think he learned alot from Van Buyten, no wonder he threatened to leave HSV if Van Buyten left, but now it's all good.

Tevez is just ace, what on earth would it take us to get him?

Also, Babbel impressed the hell out of me. A great player for 4-3-3 (as a LFF), he seems to be a sub with Ajax, why not come to us and have the same role? Man, I hope we exchange him with Recoba or something.

Are you sure Hamed? I thought it was one of the poorest games of the world cup. The passing in the match was atrocious. Is it just me or is holland the most boring team at this world cup. I would rather watch Saudi Arabia v Tunisia than another holland match. i hope portugal smash them in the next round.

I think riquelme is a bit like blue tac. You cant stick a poster on a wall without it, and it will fall off if you dont put any on a poster.

Depends if you are a fan of good-old tactical soccer or not.

Offensively, it wasn't the best, but I liked the way the defence handled both sets of great forwards.
