Easily?? I suppose you forget they lost to the black stars last wc. It won't be an easy game for either. Personally I reckon the black stars will go through.

On the game it was a good game with a really nice atmosphere up untill the final whistle when some algerian fans decided to throw objects on the pitch.

Both sides had great chances, seems the nigerian curse is spreading to other teams. But US probably wanted it more. So well done to them.

I can't comment on any foul play since I didn't see any from my vantage point at the stadium and haven't checked the highlights yet.

I'm bumping this thread for the fact it marks 1 year since Landon Donovan's goal. It was unfortunate how I was at work when it happened (8:39 local time), but I remember receiving about 4 txts from friends saying they won. I did watch majority of the WC on Univision since the english commentators sucked. What was it like to see this in person Stefan?
