If the Saudi stop their favoritism and bring the A-team, I am with them. If not - which is expected - then Tunisia all the way.

And yeah, I hope Tunisia whips Spain too.

Tunisia seems like the only african team with a realistic chance to make it.

Reactions from www.goal.com ...

Spain coach Luis Aragones: "It is a good group and we are favourites with Ukraine, but we have to prove that. In general I am definitely satisfied."

Ukraine coach Oleg Blokhin: "It doesn’t matter for us what group we ended up in. Our team has proved it can manage."

Tunisia coach Roger Lemerre: "We can defend ourselves. We’re small fry but we have our strengths and a chance."

Saudi Arabia coach Gabriel Calderon: "The team has changed a lot and there’s real quality and skill in the side."

Yeah, I think that Tunisia's problems are upfront, no wonder they neutralized Santos.

Four years ago, they had a great young striker that was supposed to be the next big thing out of Africa. His name was Ali El Zaytouni, but he sadly got a serious injury and never recovered. I hope they find a local boy who will guide their attack, but they aren't as deep as Morocco.

It should be very easy for Spain, it'll be interesting to see if Ukraine can get through, it would be an incredible achievement for them.

Oh I can't deci
Ive always liked Spain, never been a huge fan but I enjpy watching them. They'll easily win this group, possible only dropping points against Ukraine. Tunisia and the Ukraine will fight for the 2nd spot, with Ukraine pulling though (barely)

Spain always underperform at the world cup. I suspect the same again. They will struggle but probaly get out with the second spot. I think the ukraine will take the top spot.

True but they usually choke after the group stage, they are overwhelminly better than any other teams in their group. Ukraine's passage solely depends on Shevchenko, if he is on fire they will go through.

Not looking too good for Saudi Arabia. They were turned down by Luxembergo and Abel Braga for the head coach job.

They haven't fired their coach yet, but the team is doing so bad in friendlies and preparations that he is close to being sacked.

Of course, it has nothing to do with the coach. The FA imposes players and dictates all the preparations, but it's easier to blame others!

After vehmently denying thinking of sacking the coach, the FA sacked him!

And as his replacement, they chose the coach of the Saudi-version of Juve+Milan ( They cheat like Juve and have Milan's power.)

The coach himself is good, and he coached Brazil's Youth squads before, and I think he won the WC with them two years ago. I just hope he doesn't succumb and choose players mainly from his former team.

maan...hamed, I always thought Iran's situation is effed, but seems Saudi Arabia can still teach us a few things.

So this means Al-Johary and his black book coming back again or what? :D

GODDDD....this is terrible.

LOL, Al Johar will never coach the team again. He is a decent man, but can be bossed around easily. It's well known that he consult Al Jaber in tactical situations :D

The new coach is Brazilian, which I think is ideal to any middle-eastern country. Brazil has a similar chaotic and non-professional approach to soccer when it comes to the FA and local players, so a Brazilian coach would adapt better.

Good luck to him, I just hope he chooses the best players based on play. We can cause some serious damage, but we have to choose the best players. Sounds easy, but since 1998 it's all going downhill.
