Who plays for Chile these days? I havent watched since the Salas-Zamorano days.
My prediction is spain and chile. Also have tickets to the spain vs chile game.
A bit offtopic BUT im just wondering if the "ordinary" working class south africans can afford to go the games or is it too pricey?
Back ontopic,i agree spain and chile
Category 4 tickets are R140, that's a lot less then they charged for the lions rugby tour here. Not as cheap as the IPL tickets were but still affordable.
Working class depends how you classify the working class. The middle class can afford it but I have my doudts whether the fans who follow the local psl can afford it. They generally come from the lower classes while the middle class and higher class genereally follow cricket, rugby and european football.
We will only know when the wc arrives but there won't be any issue with tickets being sold. 90% is already sold.
I suppose i meant the poorer people as you say,im not arsed about england tbh,but i hope its a good world cup,and that the poorer people get to see some games, and hopefully some benefits of hosting the tournament.
I think the authorities has done as much as they really can without giving the tickets away for free. The problem is the huge gulf between the middle class and upper class in the country. Fifa and the LOC have made tickets a lot cheaper than they were in germany 06 and made them even cheaper for SA residents. They have made applications available at the local banks because of not everyone having access to the internet. They have also given tickets away to some of the poor schools.
