Then lol...

Someone who has lived in Italy should answer that, but I can tell you from my experience that black people there are the guys that sell illegal cd's and purses etc, like in Greece and Spain(so I've heard), two countries that are not known to be hosts for black people. So they get a lot of discrimination there...

Arabs are rare as well I'd say. It's not like England and France where they have large communities.

Far Eastern people are mostly tourists in Italy :)

But this is not simply because of Italy's mentality and anything to do with racism at a high level, but mostly because of language, culture and the fact that Italy is not advertised to be a prosperous place to migrate.

Have you been to Milano, Yuko? If you have, than you have surely seen that lots of Asians and Africans live there..That might not be the situation in minor cities in Italy, but big cities have lots of foreign people..

I'll never forget the first time I came to Milano by train..As soon as I left the central station, I saw Naomi Campbell getting out of the car..Man, what I sight..:D

Well, you're probably right about Italy not being a perfect place for imigrants, but most of the people from Africa use Italy as their entrance to EU(Mediteranean Sea) and it seems many of them decide to stay in it afterall..

Yeah I've been 3 or 4 times to Milano. I didn't deny their existence, I just said that comparatively to other "big" European countries there aren't as many. And I can't remember noticing too many foreigners there.

And they also use Spain, which is more frequent from what I know... And now they use Cyprus as well!! :p

Is it relatively easier to immigrate to Italy than to other EU countries?

Don't think so. Portugal is considered to be the easier one. And I'd say that Germany and England are much easier than Italy. Italy was generally against immigration, which people think it's a reason for their "underdevelopment" in comparison with Germany, France and England that is.

I'm sure that you know that EU citizens can live anywhere in the EU without papers etc, so the question only applies to non-EU citizens.

When me and the group were in Italia me and Khalifa noticed a whole lot of Arabic being spoken in Milano, especially in the main shopping district.

Also when we were in Rome we went into a pizzeria next to the Colosseum which was owned and run by a group of Sudanese people.

I know someone was sold a box full of bricks instead of a TV set.

That was in Napoli.

lollllllllllllll

It happened in France to my friend, he was sold a digital camera only to find out that the box actually contained a brick! I guess you shouldn't pay $200 for a $2000 digital camera to an Algerian street salesman.
