I think inzagui shouldn’t get any transfers request or we’ll end with this pathetic average players.

I would give Lazaro the chance until January... then we’ll go from there.
Lazaro is tragedy of a player, Bellerin is Maicon and Cafu compared to this cunt.

I didn't say anything about buying him. Even on a loan we'd be paying his wages, which would put him the top third of earners at the club. Even on a low-risk dry loan I don't think he's worth the wages.

Yeah sure. His wages would be certainly on upper-mid-echelon in terms of expectations. Of course the Growth Decree would lower the burden to Inter a bit, so it would equal wages less than 3m€ net (without Growth Decree).

But sure as hell there is coach's approval in this since why the fuck would we be pursuing a player who has this high salary?

And generally, I understand criticism and I'm not saying you can't people criticize players we are linked to (I must have done that myself numerous times). But the question which should be stated is why the management and/or coach wants this player? And then analyze that a bit. Senseless bashing of players usually makes little sense.

I've seen a surprising amount of people here, in the whatsapp, and other places online, trying to defend, support or rationalize this Bellerin interest.

Yes, I know we're fucking broke. Yes, I'm aware it's "only" a loan.

None of that matters. It's as if you (referring to those who aren't against this deal) have somehow ignored the elephant in the room, which is that he is shit. He is simply a fucking mediocre as fuck player.

I couldn't care less how "risk-free" or temporary the deal might be. Nothing outweighs the sporting side and Bellerin doesn't cut it, even for cheap.

He is the definition of an overpriced EPL hack. Defensively garbage, offensively mediocre in the extreme, fast but lacking technique or brains. As others have mentioned, he's coming off YEARS of poor form and injuries which seem to have permanently reduced him.

Like vas said, I wouldn't take him for free. I can accept that we're broke, I can't accept us utterly wasting our scarce resources like this. We're better off keeping that money and giving fucking Lazaro another try, or getting some other average Serie A shitter on loan, like Bereszyński or Faraoni.

Yep, avoid Bellerin. I don't think he adds that much other than his pace, which has declined due to injures.

From an Arsenal perspective though, I'd be over the moon to get rid of him with a fee lol

"But no agreement with Arsenal!"

We hear these kind of reports every year:

"Personal agreement between X player and Inter, but no agreement ever with his club..."

That's pretty normal in the mercato. Personal terms agreed but clubs fight over the price.

We want to just loan with an option, Arsenal wants money now. Arsenal probably agrees with loan + obligation but we don't want even that.

Maybe the common ground will be found in loan + option which becomes obligation with certain clauses activated. I'd suggest the clause to be started games and the number to be something like 30 games. If he sucks, he won't start that many games. Hakimi started over 30 games last season.

Then there's of course the price for the option which needs to be negotiated. I doubt we go for 20m€, I'd say we go for max 15m€.

Dumfries cost you at least 20m€ but that's this summer, needs to be paid now without any insurance like option to buy.

Almost every EPL player we got in this 2 years improved at Inter. Darmian Lukaku Sanchez. Young was great the first season. Moses wasn't that bad at the begining. Maybe the worst was Eriksen (till this year) but many times he was playing in a new position where never played so it was not only he's fault. He anyway improved a lot after a year.
If Bellerin should join i hope we were all wrong...

What the actual fuck are we doing? It has to be a financial thing right? Surely we would prefer someone like Dumfries but can’t afford him?

Why would we prefer Dumfries? Has anyone watch him play before the EC? If you did you would know that he isn't much better than the players we have now. Just because he excelled at the EC doesn't mean he would strengthening our squad.

All of this is true, but the question is why the fuck are we offering €3.5m for 5 years lol

I think Arsenal wants 17M for him, so we are paying on a installment plan with interest.

It's interesting question for sure. Bellerin doesn't have a pedigree to really earn such salary. His only pedigree is he's from EPL and they pay high salaries there. That's basically his salary there now.

And with Growth Decree he will cost to Inter less than 3m€ net player signed inside Italy. But that will still raise the salaries overall in the squad as 3.5m€ is the money the player is getting.

Name the realistic option we’re linked to you prefer…I’ll wait.

Strengthening the squad? You know we lost one of the top 3 players in his position right? The squad is already weakened, now it’s about finding the replacement that is the most serviceable. Again, please tell me who from Bellerin, Dumfries and Zappacosta you prefer.

He is not susceptible to injury as many people here think, there was only one after which he could not return to his normal level for himself, but we know how to restore players after the Premier League, for example, Darmian, Lukaku, Sanchez ... So I think it will be good deal if we take him with a option to buy

given the names linked to us, Bellerin is not that bad. I just hope its buy option instead of obligation. I'd rather go with Darmian/Lazaro than to have obligation to buy bellerin even if the buy price is low. He looks like a washed up player

Dumfries cost over 20m€ most probably. He's not in the same comparison as Bellerin. We won't buy Bellerin directly.
