I agree. I can so imagine him playing as a side midfielder or a AMF, not a playmaker though, so Mezzala works for him.

Other than that, I fail to see how De Paul is a leader, at least for now. He was the biggest fish in the pond and that's it.

I fail to see how De Paul is better tactically and defensively. In fact, tactical understanding is the one of Hakan's strongest assets. He's always in position and available in defense, in build up and in attack. He also presses and tackles well.

if I have to pick between de Paul and Hakan, it would be Hakan, cause he brings something none of our other midfielders has.

Fair point. RDP also has set piece delivery and long range shooting but not at Hakan's level. I think it's a matter of preference. Although lacking in quality RDP will give you effort. The MOTM performance in the copa final for example.

It’s the position he’s most comfortable with but I think his attributes suit him more as a mezzala.

I rate De Paul highly and wanted him with us, but I don't ever remember him being as influential as Hakan in his current form. If Hakan manages to maintain this level of performances I'm happy we didn't pay 35m for De Paul.

Hakan has converted me last 5 games or so, if he has an off game ill be defending him and reminding people of these performances and what he brings to the table.

Add him to the list of Perisic, Dzeko who have also made me shut my mouth.

He's a steal. With all due respect to Eriksen, Hakan is also 2 years younger. Not easy to change from being a pure CAM to a LCM in half a season. I guess living in the same city and not having to deal with a new language helps.

I am not. Set pieces had always been his biggest asset. The only thing he was known for. Instead i am pleasantly surprised with everything else in his game.

Loool me and Drago we're pretty negative towards Hakan in Sept&October. 2 months later we are thinking about buying his jersey and put it up on our walls.

I'm waiting for him to perform like that against Real Madrid. Hakan is good overall, but being great means being crucial against big teams.
